CBA's awesome. Great teachers, student body, athletics. Awesome. Only have 40-ish more days left of classes.

I would prefer to give up one of the Dallas first rounders and expiring Ks for Miller. But if Memphis insisted on Boone instead of the first rounder, I'd do it in a heartbeat, especially if we're getting Diop back from Dallas.

Considering he's 23 and the starting center I really doubt any truth to a rumor of Boone's involment...the deal centers on picks, nothing else. They want a first, we don't want to give up ours (high teens) and would rather send Dallas's (high twenties)...only holdup in my opinon.

We trade Boone in a package for Mike Miller, say goodbye to interior defense. We've gotten rid of Collins and with Boone gone, big men would dominate inside if we're facing a team with large or strong bigs or once Williams is subbed out. The bigs we'd be left with then would be Swift and Diop/Allen (depending on whether the Dallas trade goes through). Add that to the fact he's young, a legitimate starter, seems to be our only consistent performer and seems to be a good chemistry guy.

Not happening unless Thorn is bringing in another good post defender.

If we trade Josh Boone for Mike Miller and not bring in Chris Paul or Deron Williams than I'm rooting for the LA Sparks.

I haven't watched a lot of Diop, but, from what I have seen, I consider him a better all round defender than Boone and more athletic.

Putting Boone in a deal for Miller is idiotic unless we find a way to dump off Carter on someone.

Chill bro nothings gonna happen. Kidd demanded a trade and his ass is still in Jersey. Boone is staying.

I'm pleased with Boone, considering where he was drafted, but he is being seriously overrated in some quarters of this board. He can't do anything that Diop can't do as well or better, and the Nets are DESPERATE for a real shooter that has enough defense, smarts, and all-round skills not to cost them in other areas of the game. Miller is the epitome of that. Considering the depth (!) the Nets now have among players 6'10" and over, using Boone in place of a first rounder to get Miller is perfectly reasonable. Moreover, you could draft or bring in a no-name free agent/NBDL type next year who could likely do for you what Boone is doing at the same price.

Certainly seems like you guys overvalue Boone. His post defense is good, but his offense basically consists of putbacks and layups. He's got no post moves at this point and also doesn't really have a jump shot to go with that.

I think JB has some good skill sets. He is a great player on the boards, and good D. His O is getting better over time i expect him to get better and to hit the FT'S.

I know what he can do, i have see him get better snince day 1 at UConn.

It is a lot like Bynum in the Lakers forum.

That said, why is anyone ever shocked when a team forum overrates their players? Especially the fans that had Linton Johnson tagged as MIP before a single pre-season game.

Yes he was listed as a candidate by a website, but the hype was already out of control by that point. Nice attempt to spin it though

I'm not spinning anything. I don't have an agenda. There was a lot of laughter about it, given that he was not expected to have any meaningful playing time, or even possibly make the team.
