[take this info for what it's worth since I heard it through the grapevine, and since I'm also the jerk-face who chicken-littled that Oden would miss the season just 15 hours ago, but ...]

Oden - nothing broken, just needs some slight rest. Prognosis is that he should miss a week.

Hopefully the official word at 3 o'clock confirms this scenario.

I just heard on the game that Nate said he hasn't made any changes to his lineup for Friday. That is sort of good news if you want to read something into that announcement.
 
A week would be fantastic news for this team. (Even if he misses the home opener and the game against PHX.)

Yeah... i'd say, what, 3 games max? That would be nice... yeah, we'd probably be 0-4... so!?!?!
 
Yikes, we might start out the year 0 and 5. I guess that was probable before Oden's recent injury, but now it looks like a near certainty.

That would imply neither bone nor ligament damage. That seems pretty optimistic.

I bet the national people are laughing at us right now... we're so obsessed with our team.
Listening to the national show on 95.5, the Fox Sports guys say they're getting a ton of texts and emails from Blazer fans freaking out. And they're all laughing saying it's going to be OK, and it's ONE game out of 82. haha.
 
after that ugly performance if we can't muster the intensity to bounce back
and beat the spurs at home oden or not, it really might be a long season.
i wouldn't be surprised if we win easily.
 
We LOVE our blazers here.

There was a guy on 95.5 a month or so ago, i think it was a sunday... and he compared the love of Portland for their bball team to how Green Bay loves their football team.

Naw, I didn't grow up in NEP. I was born in Chicago and grew up in Tigard... about 20 minutes from the Rose Garden and extremely close to Washington Square Mall (IDK if you know where that is). My friend grew up somewhere near you I think... his parents live there and we visit them sometimes.

Yeah, sooo... just tryin' to pass the time.

I grew up all over the place in N.E. lol Spent my high school years on 10th and Going. Between Prescott and Killingsworth for those who may not know. I hated walking home from the bus stop on 15th ave (#8 bus). Fools just sitting outside waiting for something to happen.
