PG- Derrick Rose (34) / Kirk Hinrich (14)
    SG- Ben Gordon (34) / Kirk Hinrich (10) / John Salmons (4)
    SF-Luol Deng (30) / John Salmons (18)
    PF-Tyrus Thomas (30)/Joakim Noah (10) / Tim Thomas (8)
    C - Brad Miller (30)/Joakim Noah (18)

Hopefully that's our rotation. I think it can be good as Vinny doesn't waffle the guard situation. Gordon needs to remain as the starter, with the same minutes. Don't really need to mess with Rose or Hinrich's roles either. Just give Salmons Sefolosha's minues, Nocioni's minutes, and a little bit of Deng.

I really like your team fellas. I've always liked Miller, even though he basically sucks on defense and cannot jump that high to block shots, but other than that he's great offensive plus his passing is at the top of the centers around the league. (he had a great teacher in divac lol)

Plus you got Salmons now coming from the bench together with Hinrich. Very good team, hopefully they get it together fast and start racking the Ws.

Paxson says he's not going to pursue 2010 because he thinks those guys are just going to re-sign with their own teams. The Bulls are going to try to try to trade for a superstar again at the deadline next year.

Had some offers on the table that he thought were good, but other teams backed out in the past few days. Felt they were one move away from having a really, really good team.

The team doesn't seem bad when looking at it. But the two main pieces that were traded to us (Salmons and Miller) are "injured" when I look at their profiles at NBA.com.

Pretty much we will have a team that we can only speculate how good they might be. I wanted to see action immediately, but that wont happen unless the other players that were traded to us step up in some major way.

Brad Miller said he's playing on Saturday. He might even suit up tomorrow since he's already in town.

Not sure about Salmons injury status, although I don't really care for him much.

Did something happen to Thabo, or are we assuming that he's going to be buried on the bench? I'm pretty sure Roberson was just an expiring contract, I don't expect to see him much at all either.

Thabo dealt to OKC for the worst of their 3 first round picks.

Just saw that. Oh well. He was never aggressive enough. He's going to be buried on the bench in OKC, although they could put a really long defensive team on the court now.

Paxson said Thomas will play at the four some in limited minutes. He is going to be taking over the Nocioni powerforward role.

Yeah... you know I agitated a lot for Deng at the four last year and this summer. I'm still willing to see it happen, but my concern is that his body (especially his uninsured back) isn't going to support the additional strength and physical play by matching up against bigger guys at the 4, and that's why they were always trying to move him further out instead of closer in.

But yeah, other things being equal, I'd prefer closer in. We'll see how he holds up.

All in all, I think the Bulls made out very well, assuming the Jerome James situation is as I think. If I'm just backwards wrong about that, I'm pretty unhappy. But assuming I'm right, the Bulls went a long way toward finally sorting out their mess of a roster. I can see how this group fits together. I would have liked to see Kirk shipped out too, but for the home stretch and a playoff run, it'll definitely help more to have him than someone like Steve Blake.

If you look at my proposed lineup, it's 3 guards like the Bulls seem to play a lot. If you have 4 guards who should play, like we do, play 'em :)

And Salmons could prove to be a really good fit in this scheme since he's tall enough to hassle most SFs in the leage - a task previously relegated to Hinrich or even Gordon.

Deng? If he's healthy, he could be a Marion type.

Never mind about Jerome James, he counts against the cap.

    http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q53
So yeah, that sucks. Although I'd imagine if the Bulls really wanted to they could pawn him to a team under the cap. Since insurance is going to supposedly pay 80% of his $6.6M contract, the receiving team would be liable for only $1.32M, which we could reimburse with cash (and add another million and a half or so for their trouble.
