Re: How Wade chooses MVP fg% wise he is LOL but ft% and 3p%, he isnt. i know its bcoz he goes hard to the paint. which is kinda mind boggling... its either he makes it, and1 or misses it then gets fouled (the missed shot doesnt count as an attempted fg) kobe also, on occasion, takes mind boggling jumpers which tend to dip his overall fg%.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP Just wondering, but can you name a superstar that doesn't force a bad shot here and there? Kobe is certainly not the only superstar who forces crap shots.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP So does: LeBrick, Wade, Arenas, Carter, Pierce, and other super stars. They all take bad shots.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP Serious consideration for Wade indeed. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=MVP09 18 "experts" at ESPN voted, here's out it turned out: The tally LeBron James: 89 points (17 first-place votes, 1 second) Dwyane Wade: 62 points (1 first-place vote, 8 second, 7 third, 2 fourth) Kobe Bryant: 53 points (8 second-place votes, 5 third, 1 fourth, 4 fifth) Dwight Howard: 31 points (1 second-place vote, 2 third, 10 fourth, 1 fifth) Chris Paul: 22 points (3 third-place votes, 3 fourth, 7 fifth) Chauncey Billups: 8 points (1 third-place vote, 1 fourth, 3 fifth) Paul Pierce: 3 points (1 fourth-place vote, 1 fifth) Tony Parker: 2 points (2 fifth-place votes) Five points awarded for first-place votes, four points for second place, and so on. The ballots Henry Abbott | J.A. Adande | Jon Barry | Maurice Brooks | Chris Broussard | Ric Bucher Chad Ford | LZ Granderson | Jemele Hill | John Hollinger | Tim Legler | Eric Neel Chris Palmer | Dr. Jack Ramsay | Jalen Rose | Chris Sheridan | Marc Stein | David Thorpe
Re: How Wade chooses MVP "Serious" is a vague word then, because not even coming close to winning the award is not serious to me. I don't get into disputes about second place, which is worthless. And Chris Paul has been as good as him this year, with more wins which matches past criteria more.
Re: How Wade chooses MVP "experts" don't prove anything Experts gave PJ Brown more votes than Kobe Bryant in the 04-05 season. I thought you knew better than to base opinions off of ESPN.
Points don't matter. Does the second place finisher end up with MVP? Um, no... Lakers finished 2nd place last year in the Finals, what do we get? Nothing. 17 to 1, when it actually counts. I could care less how many 2nd place, or 3rd place votes he got.
Kobe was robbed of two MVP awards actually. Dirk over Kobe? That's disgusting... really sickening, actually. The criteria seems to be being the best player on the team with the best record.
Exactly. LeBron deserves it this year. Kobe should be in 2nd. Whatever. The fact that ESPN has Wade that high is not necessarily a joke, but it shows their bias. Kobe had a better personal season with less talent in 2005-2006 and 2006-2007.
