Also, a blip on the pre-game radar: Kevin Pritchard, Tom Penn and other members of the Blazer brain trust were congregating in a different place than usual during early warm-ups: front-row, watching the Bucks warm up. As we all know, should the Blazers find a deal that makes sense, they'd love to pick up a big man. As the Bucks team headed back into the locker room, Pritchard and co. remained, as did Milwaukee centers Dan Gadzuric and Francisco Elson. The duo continued shooting for some time, working up quite a lather, in what could've been a defacto audition. Elson seemed to focus on his range, taking a number of deep twos and threes, though he certainly wouldn't have been considered spot on. In the real audition--if indeed it were so--Gadzuric faired much better. In 14 minutes he scored seven points and grabbed eight rebounds. Elson nabbed only the DNP. hmmm.. maybe thats why his wife was so interested? dan better becareful though... shes the first person i ever heard call blake great!!!! thoughts on dan being a blazer?
Gadzuric's contract is outrageous. At least with Elson it's a one year rental. I think Kurt Thomas would be the best fit though.
Statistically, Gadzuric and Pendergraph are very similar. No amount of > signs will change that fact. But even if Pendergraph is > Gadzuric...J. Howard, Pendergraph and Gadzuric >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> J. Howard and Pendergraph.
That's very interesting, Mix. It could also explain why Gadzuric played better than usual. He even made some free throws.
Kurt Thomas would be a perfect fit. Even when guys come back healthy. I loved it last night when Pendergraph chest bumped and got up into Thomas' face. He's got some balls!
Ok I'll put it this way. He is trash and would just be taking time away from players that are going to amount to something in this league.
