    Did. There are global warming skeptics. That's hardly news at this point. Did you fail to read the final four paragraphs of the story? Or are you choosing to disregard them?

    First of all, Christy is not a skeptic. He wrote much of the IPCC report before the politicians took it over. He has integrity - it's just hard for some people to see which of these guys have that.

    Second, did you read the two paragraphs preceding the last 4?

    Yeah. So, some people disagree. Again, that ain't news.
    I wasn't meaning to tar Christy or any of the others in the article by calling them skeptics, although I suppose it might have sounded that way.

    Denny, do you think that if we needed to, because asteroid impact or major volcanic eruption for instance, that we could intentionally alter our climate?

    I do think we could intentionally alter our climate, but not in a short amount of time.

    This January was the 3rd warmest in recorded history in Portland. Last December ('09) we had the most snow fall in recorded history for that month.

    Global warming: depends on the year.
