Who has Lillard played? Portland State? Someone mentioned St Mary's like that carries as much weight as playing NC, Duke or Kentucky....

He put up big numbers in a weak conference and when he did play teams from big conferences he looked very pedestrian....Should that not be a concern? anyone? anyone?

Look, I would love for POR to have a solid young PG for many years to come already but this incessant need by people that is must be addressed in this draft, it just screams once again of a team reaching for need over BPA....How many times does POR have to make this mistake before they get it through thier thick heads?

This reeks of Buchanan...hopefully Olshey has a different evaluating process, and I think he does....I would be shocked if he didn't have the pull to pick who he wants and I feel pretty confident that he does....

I think workouts will tell the story. There have been a lot of very successful players from small colleges in the NBA. Hell, Nolan Smith played at Duke, while Kenneth Faried played at Morehead State

sounds like waiters likely got a promise, cancelling interviews and workouts

I used to watch that league (old UNR Wolfpack) and while I would agree for big men, the difference for guards is not as much. A three is a three in both leagues. Watch his game tape.

porter was NAIA. Lillard played against much better competition.

    I don't think he's skilled enough to be a 3.

Does Olshey do promises? KP was vehemently against such things.

Just seems really dumb of Waiters, IMO. I dunno. Maybe it's from Toronto at 8. I could see their interest potentially, and he figures he isn't getting any higher. Or, maybe it's a better FIT than just as high as possible. I just feel like you'd want to go in and workout against Beal perhaps, and try to move up. If the promise wasn't 2, no great reason to cancel.

Source believes Waiters has a high draft promise from a team.

Rockets fans on another board saying they'd give up Lowry, 14 & 16 to move up into the top 6 (for a chance at Beal or Robinson). Now THAT is a deal I could get behind!

I'm guessing Waiters to Pistons at #9
