It's garbage guys, anything we hear at this time is strictly in the BS/smokescreen and/or writers just throwing out crap so their readers have something to read. We here could put out stuff and it would have just as good a chance of playing out.

Unless we really covet Drummond and don't want Lillard, I can't see what we'd make this trade.

Teams know that Portland has a policy of not commenting on trade rumors so if they want to drive up the price on something they want to do, they mention Portland.

I would mae that trade.. Then go and buy another pick in the first round and trade up again. Would cost us $3 million and get 2 lottory picks. If we could buy a 15-20 pick and move back up to the lottory, I would take that offer.

    That gets tougher to do.

For me, I'll stay as is unless we can garner our #11 pick for a current NBA player.

I'm not sure this one will happen. If you believe the Blazers list of who they like that was published (MKG, Lillard, Leonard, Barnes) that doesn't get them there. Keeping the picks likely does. Moving those picks for 2 makes more sense and is probably more balanced, if you really want Robinson or MKG.

A lot of these trades are conditional for draft day too, right? If player ___ is available at 4, then we will make the trade with you.

I like the idea of keeping the picks, but if they have a guy they really want and are certain would be available at 4 then go for it.

If they move to 2, it's for Robinson. He's the 2nd coming of Blake Griffin and that seemed to work well for Olshey.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. KP was the master of the smokescreen. And Chad had to have picked up some of that from him, and I bet he wouldn't be averse to still use that strategy now.

I think all that is going on are discussions at this point and this could be one of many possibilities for POR...

Agreed. I have a hard time thinking any sort of deal would happen early on. Need to figure out who could be there, who will be gone, who might be there at 24, etc.

exactly and even agreed upon potential deals for pick swapping can be invalidated during the draft if players wanted are drafted by other teams before those selections take place

#4 guarantees you one one Beal, Robinson, or MKG. At 6, you're probably not getting any of those 3 and are in in Barnes/Drummond/Lillard range. Some might think that's worth swapping from 11 to 24.

Pretty high expectations. His numbers don't support that. Pace adjusted in college Griffin scored almost twice as many points, went to the line four more times and outrebounded him by 3. Robinson may be a good player, and may end up being a more complete player, but he isn't Blake Griffin.

If we move up, I want it to be to #2 so that we definitely get OUR guy. Still too much uncertainty with #4.
