Marc Berman @NYPost_Berman Told @ Vegas summer-league former #Knicks assistant Phil Weber will interview for Blazers head-coaching job. Weber is D'Antoni disciple.
Tony Mejia @TonyMejiaNBA Shaw was in Orlando w/#Pacers and has a great situation. Still, he wants a head gig. Like Michael Malone, next in line. Meeting w/#Blazers.
Sam Amick @sam_amick Brian Shaw has pulled out of the Orlando coaching search, a source told http://SI.com.
What is his offensive and defensive philosophies? What makes him a great fit? I know little about him as a coach.
Given Lillard's shooting touch that could work ... of course that means Aldridge would need to get a little better at reading double teams and passing out of them (when appropriate) but I think a motion offense could really take advantage of Nic's ability to come off of screens (Barton too). Gotta think he's more qualified than Canales right?
wendell maxey @w_maxey blazers? RT @JoshuaBRobbins: Michael Malone is no longer under consideration for #Magic coaching job, Malone's agent told @OrlandoSentinel.
Maybe Orlando told Shaw and Malone that they are moving Howard soon for a bunch of picks and plan on sucking Charlotte style for the next 4-5 years
All I know is a lot of people, including myself, questioned Olshey about waiting so long, but every single candidate that was available when he got the job is still available....just like he said
True to his word it seems. Let's see if he does match Batum, and then I'll be a happy camper all year.
I won't bitch or laugh - but I won't believe you on that point, either. Canales, for whatever his faults, has been working full-time in the NBA for several years now. barfo
