The title of this thread is the best player and Reggie belongs in that category.</div>I'd like you to explain why Reggie was a better playeras I said before, Reggie was not a very good all-around player...in his prime, he was good for 3 rebounds and 3 assists per game...as a 6'7" guard, that's rather unimpressiveMcGinnis could do more than Reggieas for your contention that McGinnis played with better players: the Pacers had enough talent to beat the Bulls in 1998, but Reggie failed to carry his team to the victory like a real superstar would (despite his heroics during Game 4, if I remember correctly). Larry Bird essentially says this in one of his books.

In his prime (for 2 seasons) he had more PPG and more RPG than Zo, not to mention many more APG and shot a better FG %. He also played more seasons with the Hornets than Zo.

He's only just turned 25, so he has plenty of years left with the Heat. The Shaq you are talking about never played with the Heat. Sure, he's still a very good player, but he was much, much better when he was in Orlando and LA, as Bobby just said. In Orlando, they don't have as deep of a heritage as LA, obviously, so that's the only place I would put Shaq as the best player for that team.

Shaq only had one really good year in Miami, and after that he has been injury-plagued and fatigued all the time. Dywane Wade is the 2nd best player in the NBA in my opinion, and he won them the NBA championship by averaging 34 a game in the Finals. How could you possibly not give it to D-Wade?
Re: Best Player in every team's history Why are a lot of people putting Wilt down for the Sixers? He was great with us, yeah, he one us a championship, ok. But he played only 3 1/2 season for us. And I think Dr. J and AI left a better legacy. Its between those 2 IMO.
