This is starting to get on my nerves. Kareem Abdul Jabbar is the easy choice. He flat out dominated when he was with the Bucks, led them to a championship, and posted some incredible numbers. And Oscar played with the Bucks at the end of his career, and besides his first season with them, his numbers weren't all that great (for Oscar Robertson atleast...)</div>This is also annoying me...Kareem won three MVPs on the Bucks and was their best player every year he was on their team (including the years Oscar was on the team)

You have no idea. Reggie was a much better player. George McGinnis played with some very good players: Dan Issell, Don Buse, Mel Daniels. Reggie had always been surrounded by average talent. The title of this thread is the best player and Reggie belongs in that category.

Larry Bird essentially says this in one of his books.

In his prime (for 2 seasons) he had more PPG and more RPG than Zo, not to mention many more APG and shot a better FG %. He also played more seasons with the Hornets than Zo.

Re: Best Player in every team's history How can you not add Shaq to the Miami list? he is the top 5 for the best centeres ever, and you put Dywane Wade over him? Who is not in any top 5 in nba history as far as I know.

He's only just turned 25, so he has plenty of years left with the Heat. The Shaq you are talking about never played with the Heat. Sure, he's still a very good player, but he was much, much better when he was in Orlando and LA, as Bobby just said. In Orlando, they don't have as deep of a heritage as LA, obviously, so that's the only place I would put Shaq as the best player for that team.

Shaq only had one really good year in Miami, and after that he has been injury-plagued and fatigued all the time. Dywane Wade is the 2nd best player in the NBA in my opinion, and he won them the NBA championship by averaging 34 a game in the Finals. How could you possibly not give it to D-Wade?
Re: Best Player in every team's history Why are a lot of people putting Wilt down for the Sixers? He was great with us, yeah, he one us a championship, ok. But he played only 3 1/2 season for us. And I think Dr. J and AI left a better legacy. Its between those 2 IMO.
