Dear Rip City, Thank you!

Those two words on a page don't begin to express the gratitude I have for the opportunity the entire Trail Blazers organization, my teammates, the media, and you fans gave me. The past nine years have been a blessing, and I will take all of the valuable memories with me as I head back home.

As I'm sure you can respect, my decision was a very personal one but not one I took lightly. Although I will be wearing a different uniform the next time I come back to Portland, please know that I will always hold my time in a Blazers uniform near and dear to my heart.

Your friend, LA

Nice try, but you're still gonna get booed!

Too little, too late.

So would you guys rather he just did a double barrel "fuck you" and post it on Instagram?
Actually that would be nice. The most evil and vial people are ones that fuck you and have a huge grin on their face.

Watch this. I could spin this so much better than he did.

Dear Rip City, Thank you!

I would like to take this time to thank you for supporting me and my teammates through my 9 years in Portland. When I was drafted with Brandon Roy, we had high hopes for us. And then the next year we drafted what we hoped was the final piece to our championship dreams. But as you know, those dreams were squashed. First Greg never was able to live up to his potential and then Brandon had to retire early. But through all that, you fans stuck with us, even in times when it would've been easier for you to jump ship.

I'm sorry that we couldn't deliver on those championship aspirations, but rest assured you can believe that we tried our best. But in the end, things did not work out as well as we wanted, and I felt it was time for me to venture off on my own. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy my time in Portland, or appreciate you fans for cheering for us on nights when sometimes we didn't deserve it. I do. It was those cheers that helped us through some dark times in Portland, and even win some games.

So while I am now moving on to another city and franchise, I want you to know that I understand that some of you might be upset with my choice, or how I went about making this choice. I am sorry if you were upset by my actions, but I felt it was necessary for me to do it. There might come a time in my life where I look back and wish I did it differently, but I cannot change what I have done.

I know that Portland, Rip City, and you Blazer fans will live on. I am not bigger than Rip City.

LaMarcus

PS. Yes I am jealous of Damian and the fact that he's actually a superstar and I'm a softy.

I can't find my keys. Anyone seen my keys? The ones with the brass dolphin keychain. Dammit
