I read this the other day. It's just revealing more and more of this dudes character. The fact that pop and Tim can't convince you twice, it took ime udoka to convince you and assure you that you would get your precious points. It's crazy. If I was a spurs fan, I would be very concerned. Spurs move the ball, this guy will want his ppg, won't wanna play center, etc. Oh and good luck when Tim and manu are gone and you have to deal with Kawhi being the golden child because all you ever were was an asset.

Still can't believe his 2nd choice was Phoenix. Yeah I'm bitter but I'm glad he's out and Damian can do his thing without having to give the ball up to this queen on the block tossing up high volume fadeaways. November 11th, I better hear rip city boo the fuck out of this dude. I know I will.
 
I think people are trying really hard to find something to hate. We've already learned that Aldridge has a small circle of people he trusts. So he turned to one of them who assured him that, yes, Duncan and Pop are for real, you'll be good here.

I wish before I made my disastrous career move that I had input from someone I trusted. Unlike Aldridge, I'd have stayed put.

And why do you feel the need to express contempt for a male athlete by giving him a female name? Because nothing is lower than being compared to a woman? (except maybe being gay?) Says nothing about Aldridge but a lot about the poster(s).

I have actually never called Aldridge Lamarsha, but I always took it as soft, like a woman is soft....not the way they ay sports, and not as women are inferior. Thats just me though. I am also probably the least PC person on the board, so.....

That's such BS, a woman is only soft if they identify with it.

I took that as women are soft as in they seem to have soft skin. My wife doesn't use lotion or anything like that, doesn't wear makeup and likes to get her hands dirty and yet her skin is always very soft and smooth and that happens without her trying. When someone calls a women soft thats always what pops into my head, I know thats generally not what people are referring to but thats always my first thought.

But... but... but... he said he loved the Portland fans and it was so hard for him to choose (maybe that's why he wouldn't agree to even meet with the Blazers - too painful).

As far as I'm concerned #12 is no different than Rasheed Wallace with his CTC/inner circle crap but he's not man enough to say it like Sheed was. He's more a fan of the Dwight Howard approach. Stay classy Aldridge!

I have to quit reading the articles about him. Good luck Spurs... it's going to be, you know, an interesting, you know, season. I hope he's greeted with nothing different than any other Spur when he's announced at the Moda . It was just a business deal in his eyes, this was never anything personal for him, he fulfilled the contract, and he moved on. We should too.

Perhaps us fans should not wear the jersey of our favourite player; maybe we simply wear "77" or some other important Team number - like the Seahawk's "12" - since it's just business with these guys we need to stop thinking of them as something personal to us!
 
Who? I'm having trouble remembering who Lamarcus Aldridge is.

Hopefully, LA's playing career will now flourish and thrive just as Ime's did when he left us.

I knew Ime a long time ago. Played against him when he played for Jefferson HS. Refereed him in city leagues when he was playing overseas. He's a pretty good cat.
 
We should call Portland State University and tell them that Ime is donating $100 million.

Not that there aren't emotions involved, there are for all sports fans I would assume, but you are more right than you realize. It IS a business deal to them. They know they have fans that think more of it than that, but star players are gonna have fans where ever they go. IT is a business deal and the sooner we understand that any entity that deals with as much money as the NBA does, the easier I think it will be for some people to be able to move on.
