What Ruben was accused of doing to his nanny, Canzano does to Blazers fans every fucking time he opens his mouth or writes an article.

I've never encountered a bigger douche in my life. And I'm old.

As long as he stirs shit and riles people, leading to internet hits, his job security is golden.

You got to be fucking kidding me. Did you not read all of the offers and how many teams said no?

Well, we were calling about Blake Griffin and Kevin Love. Supposedly we could have had the Cavs #1 pick, which could have been Oladipo or whatever.

Could have had, or that was our asking price? I don't remember that being on the table from the cavs...

edit: I remember it being on the table, actually. But, was that the bennett pick?

Never read it. Read the thread title and decided not to waste that time in my life that I would never get back. Fuck John Canzano. I'll never read or click on anything he's written again.

On another note, that punk bitch can't have it both ways. On numerous occasions he's praised the Portland fans as the best in the league. Now he wants to say that we suck... Balls on your head John Canzano! Balls...

It twas. Supposedly the offer was #1 pick and Tristan Thompson.

There was another rumor that supposedly Golden State was offering David Lee and either Harrison Barnes or Klay Thompson. Not sure how substantiated that rumor was though.

He didn't say we suck, I made the title.

His title for the article was,
Canzano: LaMarcus Aldridge is winning, now how about the Blazers?

Oi. That hurts. But, can't dwell on it. At the time, the wool was over everyones eyes. LMA did a fine job of duping the whole franchise.

At least Kevin Love said he wanted out.

Exactly, and with the Blazers, predicting the worst is the better odds. Canzano's three dollar bill objectivity is really a facade. He is a pessimist at its worst, a precocious manchild with an unbelievably elephantine ego. I don't know what's worse reading his garbage articles or looking at his face.

Reading his garbage articles while looking at his face would be the worst.

No, that'd be the best, cause then you can burn it in front of his face. Laugh... and then re-print the article to burn in front of his face.

    Repeat.

And then punch him in the kneecap.

    Repeat.

Olshey didn't get "nothing" for Aldridge; he got cap space. The ultimate question is whether he can do something with it that will improve the Blazers. Whether that's this season or next summer, Olshey should be judged based on the roster after he's made his moves using the cap space, not now when it's an unfinished move.

Even in years when the entire league isn't flush with cap room, it's been rough trying to get free agents to take Portland as a destination seriously. Who knows, maybe it allows for lopsided trades to happen, but not even getting a future first or even a lowly second rounder somehow someway for LMA isn't a great look.

The LMA/Love comparison is not accurate. If the T-wolves actually thought they had a chance to advance far in the playoffs or even win a championship they wouldn't have traded Love. The team was going nowhere and Love was going elsewhere so it made sense to trade him.

Last season the Blazers had a shot to win a title. Those shots come very few and far between so you take them when you get them.
