In theory yes, but Plumlee touches the ball more and is doing more decisions than Crabbe who is coming off the bench.

Sure but he's not a scoring option.

Yea, Crabbe is definitely our 3rd option in scoring.
When i think about who is the bigger option i think about who is holding the ball more and who is making more decisions in addition to scoring.

If i need to give an extreme example: Rondo is probably the 2nd offensive option for the Kings even though he is only the 5th scorer on the team.

On offense its more useful to have a player that can score the ball than one that can hold it and not score.

Crabbe has played terrible of late and Plumlee contributes in other areas; but strickly on offense Crabbe has been the more effective contributor this year.

Rondo is a great example as he holds the ball and racks up personal assists. He's one of the leagues worst starting PG's even though he ranks high in assists.

Crabbe has been our third option on offense?

That explains why we need a third option on offense.

I don't think the differences shown above between Parsons and Aminu and Crabbe are insignificant. Parsons would be a huge offensive team upgrade over Aminu, although Aminu probably has him beat in defense, rebounding, and durability.

If Olshey/Stotts think Crabbe is going to be that guy for us next season, they won't sell the farm for someone like Parsons. In Olshey/Stotts I trust either way.

I see Crabbe contributing more as a sixth man. We could use a better starting SF.

    No, thank you.

I'd rather go with Aminu, Crabbe and Harkless.

You must not want to win a championship then. Just be content with what we have.

Harkless, like Vonleh, are certainly tantalizing prospects. I'll be surprised if they take a big enough leap to be starters on a contender as early as next season. I'm looking for the year after with them. Although I'll be happy if Harkless surprises me!

You see I'm a fan of the team first, not the players on the team.

Our SFs (even the group as a whole) have far exceeded my expectations offensively and defensively after a huge year of player turnover.

This season is a testament to NO for bringing in the right players to build around Dame and CJ, to Stotts for implementing and changing his game plan fitting the player's talents, and to the players for buying in and competing every night!

Just imagine what they do can with another 2 to 3 years with the team largely intact. Better days are here, Blazer buddy!

You missed the most important stats....

TS%, WS/48, and VORP are all significantly higher for Parsons. Also, in Stotts system 3pnt % is critical. Parson shoots 0.425 while Crabbe/Aminu are below 0.370.

If I had to choose between Parsons at $23M or Crabbe at $16M, I'm choosing Parsons every time.

You're using the season stats. My point was that you should go look at his stats month by month. He was coming off knee surgery. His stats have gone up every single month. His stats last month and his stats this month have been very impressive. He's so much better than Crabbe and it's not even close.

I'd much rather resign Batum then either of those two options

    My #1 choice: Horford
    My #2 choice: Whiteside

Horford would improve both our offense and our defense. If we had Horford, we'd be LEGIT.

I think Crabbe Was our third scoring option that has been taken over by Hendo. I think Hendo has become our third scoring option over the last month.

    Mental gymnastics.

I don't care for anyone of them btw, Crabbe is showing flashes of a young Rip Hemilton at times but i would package him and Aminu for a really good player IF the opportunity is there.

I think Chandler would fit well here. I like tyreke evans a lot more though. He's a UFA in 2017. I really wanted us to get him when New Orleans got him.

Maybe if Crabbe and Aminu and Mo don't make a whole lot of improvement next year, we end up going after Tyreke?

Pretty much how I saw it, too...though more intrigued than skeptical about Plumlee, and not quite truly "stoked" about Henderson. People in here talked me into thinking Aminu was an awesome signing, but it didn't take long to see that it was just homerism at work. I also expected more from Davis but am fine with who he is.

Like, say, Harkless? I know Harkless hasn't done anything to EARN the starting spot, but Aminu hasn't done anything to KEEP it.
Obviously I'd like someone better than both Aminu and Harkless, but until next season this is all we have to work with. Hopefully next season Aminu will either be on another team or playing for us in a role off the bench that doesn't exceed 18mpg.
