Phenomenal hair - same abysmal game.

Now he's airballing threes? N'awesome.

Well at least he made a good "wink-wink" screen. If you're asking more from him at this point..... eh I think we took a bath on that 40 mill.

Meyers seems like a mentally fragile game. The spot up jump shot is like the only thing in his game, and when that's not falling he shouldn't be on the court. I thought we dodged a bullet last year with him turning down that contract, and I thought after Olshey seeing him kinda suck in his 4th year he wouldn't dare offer him the same thing.

Not sure about Olshey, he's made a lot of good moves, but this offseason could be his undoing.

or his doing.

I think anyone criticising Leonard for anything right now; has overly high expectations for someone coming off a major shoulder injury, and almost a whole season away from the game.

I thought Meyers had some nice defensive plays, but we need the man to rebound. Making shots would be nice too

Dude his contract is cheap. Per year his contract will be less than 10% of the cap. That's nothing

It's not nothing. IF you're used to a 70 million dollar cap, you wouldn't pay 7 mil for a guy who sucked. You can get a guy like Meyers for the minimum.

He is not hugely expensive but will be hard to get rid if he doesn't significantly improve, nobody will need him like this. If you look at him for $10M and Harkless for the same price, they are worlds apart.

If not healthy enough to play don't play him. He needs get over the mental aspect of the game that if he mix it up under the boards he might get hurt. Your not doing yourself or the team any good. Right not even Neil wanted to trade him no one would touch him 10ft pole.

however you look at it, we have a shit ton of $ invested into Crabbe, Turner and Meyers. On the bench.

Can see Crabbe and Turner getting some shine purely due to the lack of competition and we've kinda all-inned on them. But Meyers vs. Davis, Vonleh, and Azuli (at some point), he's going to have to be much much better than last year and much much much much much better than whats been seen so far this year.

NVL has improved, Meyers hasn't.

$4,000,09=1 contract and 1 Jersey. Yep. Got the bottom end o that one...

Meyers doesn't look great. But, he is just starting to play after a long time sitting with his shoulder recovery. I wasn't him to look great early on. it is going to take time for him to build back to even what he was last year.

after what five years in the league and he still plays like a rookie still has no idea what he's doing still can't use his body, is a disaster defensively, probably plays with his eyes closed, still hesitates to shoot, and most importantly, still has absolutely zero consistency to his game. I think it's time to move on, and this coming from someone who's been very very patient with him.

Vonleh has better instincts and I don't see him hesitating to shoot anymore. He's also got a post up game. He's the guy we should be developing, not Meyers.

Then you got Layman who also looks way more refined than Meyers.

As I've said since Summer League after his first year, he is afraid of contact. He also use to stand still saying "Duh" all game, as if his contact lenses hurt when he rotated his eyeballs, so he didn't see his man 4 feet away. This year he is much more active, but accomplishes nothing with the activity. Gotta give him that much--he runs his circles faster now. I say give him another 5 years. As his fans say, white centers develop more slowly than guards.

Lolol the scary thing is I think he was tougher as a rookie than he is now. He didn't know any better back then. Look at his college tape. That's the Leonard we all want him to be. Dude is so broke mentally he has to convince himself every morning in a journal that everything will be ok.

Until last season, when he was under the basket and an opponent drove on the basket, he used to close his eyes, turn his back, bend over a little, and present his ass, which I think was to protect his crotch.

Seriously. I used to notice it and post it, and this board's non-eagle eyes thought I was making it up. So I developed the contact lens theory for why he folded whenever he had to deal with anyone within 5 feet. He stopped doing it last season. Now this year he has improved his activity level, but to no avail. He is improving and just needs another 5 years.

About a month into his rookie eason, I was the first one here to post that he is a good shooter. I brought it to everyone's attention. Kind of proud of that. You guys would have discovered it, but months later, since he stopped getting minutes soon after I first posted it.

Remember early in his rookie year, when Lillard would pass a wild alley-oop to him anywhere within 10 feet of the hoop, he would make a great catch, recover in the air, and get 2 points? Then he sat all season. Then he came out like mental jelly in his first Summer League game, joshing around, smiling, and swinging his arms for fun like it was an elementary school playground. Then after our criticism here, he got some minimum ambition, but no skill, the rest of SL. A year earlier, he had tried much harder in the SL before his rookie year, when he was out of shape and red-faced from being winded. He looked the same all of his rookie year.

1-7 from 3. The only reason he is in the NBA is because of his shot. He's shooting 33% from 3 and 37% overall. Pathetic.

I blame Mo Cheeks.

Poor Meyers. I'm not a fan of his game, but it's not his fault he's not very good and overpaid -- probably a mix of bad wiring and bad coaching at various stops along the way.

You know who I'm unhappy with? Olshey. Bidding against himself and wish-casting on a guy who's rarely shown any hint that he can be a reliable "workhorse."

i think ive said all about this total clusterfuck of a player that i really can.

i cannot believe we re-signed him.
