Now he is finally officially president elect, time for a poll

If he doesn't get impeached, assasinated, or quit, he will serve one term. He will not get elected a second time, not after he does what he is about to do...then again America was foolish enough to elect W twice...but even so

I don't see people in flyover country getting any smarter in the next 4 years, so I'm going to say he gets reelected. The collapse of the economy and the scandals and the wars will be Obama's fault.

So, president Pence will get sworn in on January 20th

impeached first term...doesn't have the discipline to play well with others or listen to council...will try to govern by twitter and end up hurting the wrong people too often.....sort of wishful thinking in terms of impeachment but I have no reason to trust his value system so it's really a crap shoot...he could just instantly combust from an overdose of hairspray and tanning spray...in the end I think it's why Boehner quietly faded into the sunset

I sincerely hope the country learns from this election and legislators start actually working on problem solving...Trump is a wake up call president in that he stimulates reactions.....I'm hoping this ends up well. In my wildest dreams I never would've believed W.C. Fields would be president!

I think he will win by a YUGE landslide in the next election if he follows through with efforts on every major rhetoric (build the wall, lower taxes, strengthen the military and bring back jobs) he's been discussing.

If these idiotic Democrats keep pulling their stupid shenanigans that they are pulling the last year then 8 years for the Trump train.

I really can't say. Too hard to predict. I do however think the midterm elections will go the Democrats way. I think of Bill Clinton's election when there had been 12 years of republican presidents, and a "change" candidate elected. 2 years in and boom, all the Dems get voted out. I wouldn't be surprised to see history repeat itself. The country seems to love gridlock and is insecure having one party dominate the different branches of government. So, I have no predictions for # of terms of Trump. He seems unpredictable. But, I wouldn't be shocked to see the Dems win some races in 2 years to reconfigure Congress. Maybe not enough to create a majority, but enough to give Denny that sweet sweet gridlock he loves.

I think he was joking about most of that.

Really? They haven't for a while. That's the time when the old folks come out to vote. Of course, if Paul Ryan gets his way, they'll've got rid of Medicare by then...

(But of course they'll have some grandfather (no pun intended) clause to protect their current wrinkly voters.)

I do wonder if someone like Susan Collins might do a Jim Jeffords.

I wish I could argue. I can see a mini (I hope) 9/11 coming soon and he'll get to bomb the shit out of ISIS (and a lot of civilians, but serve them right for standing near terrorists) and give everyone in shitkickerland giant boners.

Or maybe worse than 9/11...I hope to God not, but we shallsee

I voted for four years. I think he's the antichrist and will want to move on to bigger things after one term.

Not only do I not think he'll be re-elected in 2020, but I think that so many Republicans will be dissatisfied with him that he won't even the Republican primary. He will become the first sitting president since 1884 to seek but not receive his party's nomination for an additional term. But he'll run as an independent anyway, and whoever wins the Democratic nomination will be a shoo-in.

More reasons why he'll go 8. MOST people see right through this bullshit:

I hope and pray from the bottom of my heart that this exact scenario happens, except.....................I recently re-registered as an Independent and having Donny run as an Independent would be the most cruelest of ironies.....Thanks a bunch Platy.........

I see one of two of the possibilities is likely.

1. He makes deal after deal and everyone wins. Something like the inner cities see vast improvement in quality of life for a change. Trump wins reelection in a massive landslide.
2. He's a miserable failure and gets very little support for reelection, even from republicans.

In other words, either Hoover or Reagan.

So far, #1 is what we've seen and he's not even president yet.

I seriously doubt he gets impeached or whatever. If Clinton gets off scot free for her crimes, so does he.

Along the lines of prediction.

DJIA hit 19,000 about a month ago. It's being widely called the "Trump Rally."

It's accepted that the markets factor in good or bad expectations. The signal from the markets right now is high expectations for the economy once Trump is in office.

People do vote their pocketbooks. The higher the stock market goes, the richer most people feel. The market gains and liquidity enables people from the high end of the wealth scale on down to buy toys (and homes). This drives real estate prices up, people get to borrow equity on those higher home prices, and that feeds economic growth.

In 4 years, if the DJIA is pushing 25,000 or even 30,000, americans will be flush with cash and very happy.

Except for the increasing minority who are never happy, even if their own candidate has won.

I think it depends on how many pussies he is able to grab during his first term. If he grabs a YUGE amount of pussies, his supporters will get excited (you know what I mean) and show up again to vote for him.

Pussy grabbin?!?! sign me up! :devilwink:
Signing up to participate in sexual assault or rooting for it is a bad look, even if it's a joke. But I'm sure you will claim you were doing no such thing and how could I even interpret that.... blah blah blah... but really dude, not a good look.

Or joking about it here, as Trump did back then?
