We are not very far from moving to top 5 of the draft.

The only one in Memphis helping our Tank is Chandler Parsons. I can't believe he is more dedicated to the cause the Zach Randolph

Incredible - we have 2 more wins than the team in 27th place in the league. I will NOT be watching this game.

Portland should start trying to help other teams..like, trade Crabbe to Boston for Brooklyns pick...

That seems fair, right? ;)

I don't know what's gotten into Dame, but I don't feel comfortable with him handling the ball in crunch time anymore. He isn't poised and makes stupid decisions.

Feel a lot more comfortable with CJ leading the way. It's amazing how good he's become.

Need the right 3rd piece for these two to maximize their talents and gets some synergy. Really glad we have more trade pieces to try to get that guy.

I have hope for the Mariners every single year. At least they have been really active in the offseason this year. Gives me hope (again).

That's the circle we're in. I'm excited for spring training every year and that's usually tempered by the end of May. I'm also really excited for Blazer training camp and well, you know......
I'm not sure where we are, and I'm not saying this life isn't real or we're not living, but Sly could be Mephistopheles.

Between my fandom for the Trail Blazers, Mariners and Chargers, I've come to terms that my favorite teams will never win a championship in my lifetime.

@Darkwebs You have Meyers starting over Nurkic?

I hate Brooklyn, for making Boston, so good.... god damn.

I'll give the Plums trade a B grade for now. It has the potential to be an A+ or an F. Depends on how Nurkic plays, more so on who the pick turns out to be, if he turns out to be any good, or if we trade it and for who we trade it for...maybe Nurkic is a bust, maybe the pick is too, maybe plums becomes an All Star in Denver. We shall see.

Last night on Talking Ball, Quick said he talked to Dame about how he's feeling out there, and Dame said his ankle has been bothering him, that this is the worst pain (discomfort?) he's ever felt in his ankle.

Or at least that's what I thought I heard, as my back was to the TV and I was in the process of making this game thread, lol.

If someone else caught the Quick segment, correct me if I'm wrong.

Just played Blazers @ Jazz with current roster...won barely at 105-102

Dame with 20 points
CJ with 22 points
Leonard with 10 points 7 rebounds
Crabbe with 10 points
Nurkic had 8 points 5 boards 1 block
Vonleh 8 points 4 boards
Harkless 8 points 3 blocks
Aminu 8 points 6 boards, 2 blocks
Layman 5 points, 2 rebounds
Connaughton 2 points

Hill lead the Jazz with 27 points

Nurkic played 12 minutes

Plus when I had Nurkic in the commentators started talking about his dad and how he's a bad ass police officer and 100 pounds heavier than Jusuf...

Sucks we still have to play the Jazz three more times this year. Hopefully Nurkic can neutralize some of the bigs with Utah.

For those still hoping we make the playoffs, here are the current standings:

It could really go either way. Though the Plumlee trade may have been a pendulum swing towards the lottery. We may have given Denver the 8th spot. Still, we are only two games back from the 8th seed. If we can put together a string of wins, not all together likely, but possible, we could find ourselves limping into the playoffs.

Now if we keep losing, what's to say all the other shitty teams below us won't keep losing. I know Dallas wants to make the playoffs just to do it, so they will be trying, and Philly is desperate not to suck so they are going to keep trying. Miami has been winning as of late, though they finally lost yesterday. We will almost have to lose on purpose to finish worse than teams like the Lakers and Sun's. Even as crappy as we are we do have an easier schedule to finish out the season, but I guess even the Blazers can screw that up. We shall see. With injuries and imploding teams it's going to make getting up or down the hill harder than it looks.
