Our second postponement in 2 months (Jan. 7, in Portland vs. Detroit).
 
why didn't they play at University of minnesota arena?
 
This raises a conundrum among S2's powers-that-be. Will this game thread be postponed, or will a new one be started anew? Notice their current absence from this thread? Denny and the moderators are in a confab as we speak to resolve this crisis.

Just play a game of poker with the final player's team calling it a victory. Not worth humping all their luggage back to Fargo-land for a redo.
 
Pretty pathetic for a pro arena. No wonder they are the laughingstock of the league

Well they both have a home game on the 1st, with the following game on the 4th. So do we want a back to back on the 2nd or the 3rd? (We play a@Utah on the 4th and then home against the wolves on the 6th)

I say the 3rd. We will lose in Utah regardless, so who cares if it is a back to back.
 
We should have the make-up date be during the post-season, just in case neither team makes it, then they won't feel left out.

See, the problem is the budget. Denny budgeted for a lot of revenue tonight from this thread, which would have been the usual huge budget-buster, from which he pays Darkwebs his $500 fee for the opening graphics. But now Denny has big decisions. If he goes with a new game thread when the game is made up, he has to pay Darkwebs to come up with new graphics, and Darkwebs with his limited imagination might not like having to repeat his work and calling his cartoonist friends for inspiration. So Denny might have to tip him a bonus in addition to the usual fee, and the quality won't be as good since Darkwebs already used up the ideas he had planned last summer for the Wolves games. Darkwebs goes into hibernation in the summer like winter mold under a rock to plan out all the games for the next season. So Denny not only has to break the bank, but he has a morale problem. Denny, I recommend that you just maintain this same thread for the postponed game, and just take the criticism that will come with it. You have my word that I will go light on you and not harp on it on and on.
 
I ran to the bank this afternoon because there was a 5 pm game. I risked death in rush hour. I should sue the arena in Minnesota. Now I have 2 hours to contemplate my navel. I know. I'll write 10,000 words and post it here. But that wouldn't satisfy my fans. They would just demand more writing from me. So I'd better not whet their appetites. I know. I'll fill up on Doritos. Yeah. I'm okay now.
