Just 14 words may have caused Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson to violate an ethics law at President Donald Trump's Tuesday-night rally in Phoenix.

As Carson was set to take the stage at the rally, an announcer introduced him with, "the secretary of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Ben Carson."

That's all it took for a possible Hatch Act violation.

    A. His ego did not permit what FDR did for this country in a horrible depression. B. It seems his insecurity with "The Trump Image" is more important than his position as President.

I agree this may be a violation of the Hatch Act.

The news outlets muted Carson's words.

While Carson might be a Trump supporter, he cannot be part of his campaign. There are plenty of ways to make campaign speeches without calling it a campaign event. But this was a campaign event.
