• Tuesday’s game marks the first of four regular season matchups between the Trail Blazers and Pelicans in the 2017-18 season.

• LAST SEASON: New Orleans won the season series with Portland, 3-1, in 2016-17.

• The Trail Blazers are 10-5 against the Pelicans over the last four seasons. Portland is 7-1 at home against New Orleans in that span.

• New Orleans last served as Portland’s opponent for the home-opener on October 28, 2015. The Trail Blazers won that contest, 112-94.

• Damian Lillard averaged 27.7 points (41.0% FG, 44.0% 3-PT), 3.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in three games against the Pelicans in 2016-17.

• CJ McCollum averaged 18.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steals in three games against New Orleans last season.

• Anthony Davis led the Pelicans with 28.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 4.00 blocks in three matchups with Portland in 2016-17. Davis has scored 25 or more points in five of his last seven games against the Trail Blazers.

I dont like The last call. Lillard or CJ should have kill them. Move on. This game is a very tough game for us. Need this W!

I did not either - but I actually think it was a good thing to do. It tells Nurk that even tho he struggled - the coach believe in him enough to go to him on the last possession. That's good long vs. short term benefit imho.
 
I just Watch NOLA x lakers. I think Nelson, Holliday and The other ones cant guard our guys. Thats a game that we must win no metter what. Need this win and lets put a run. How about a 4x0 in next four? (Nola, Clippers, Toronto and Suns)
 
Turner should have big night off the bench taking there small guards down low. We must make cousins and Davis work hard due the reason they both got tired tonight when the Lakers was pushing the ball both there 3 point shot started to come up short late in the game. That only means there legs got tired.

Sir, this is NOT a must win game.
 
Sure wish NO had a full team. Potentially 5 guys out....that's lame. I want to test our team's mettle against a full-strength team.

I fear Nurk is going to continue to struggle in this game. All Boogie and Davis have to do is double-team him when he drives into the paint. It's not like Stotts designs plays to help him. He's notorious for leaving our Center standing alone in the paint on Offense.

What I would like to see is another tandem of Ed Davis and Biggie getting rebounds and playing Defense in the paint like we saw in Phoenix and especially in Indiana. That was a beast lineup.
