From what I've read on O-Live it looks like Stotts will be starting Biggie as long as the team is winning. Good choice. I've been clamoring for this for a while. Biggie works great with the starting lineup. He's a garbage man that can shoot.

While I think Vonleh is a better and more polished player than Swanigan at this time, I think the combinations with Swanigan as the starter and Vonleh coming off the bench looks like a great move.

BBert abides.

Noah and Ed off the bench is a decent combo.

The other change I'm curious to see if it lasts is the bench lineup without CJ. It really gives ET to cook without working off the ball. It finally gets away from this CJ at PG nonsense.

CJ is the "PG" in the 2nd unit. Evan handles the ball way more and sets up the plays. Personally, I think we need to sit Pat and play Shabazz. Looks like coach is already doing that.

Nope. You didn't see last game? CJ was on the bench with Dame and Stotts used a Napier-Pat-ET-Noah-Ed lineup which built our lead in the second quarter. He then brought CJ back in with Dame.

That was one game.

Edit: And it was a game where we were SMASHING them. So. IMO it's an anomaly.

What I liked about that lineup was that there wasn't a ball dominate "star" on the court so they weren't standing around watching and waiting for someone else to do something, they functioned as a team, the ball movement was good, players were hustling, playing defense, it worked. I hope to see more of Shabazz off the bench and Biggie, however Stotts decides to use him. I also like that Stotts shook up the lineup in general, if for nothing else to remind everyone who's in charge.

It’s been ONE game. 40 minutes of quality basketball from this team and all is forgiven and right in the world?
No, not at all. But one can always hope that minor tweaks lead to continued improvement.

Why do you insist on living on the extremes?

ME? When do you see me ever blast this team or get all worked up either good or bad on here? I was commenting on this place. We lose and peeps want people fired and traded, we win they are on their way to the HOF.
Please find a post of mine in the last 7/8 years where I got worked up or “lived on the extremes” about my Blazers.

Biggie is more active and looks for his offense much more than Noah.....

However, the refs H8 Biggie much more than they do Noah, so it's interesting.

And what is if the Blazers not win against Orlando? Then caleb back to the 2nd Unit and Vonleh Starts again? I like the idea CJ sitting with Dame on the bench, but I am worried about the Scoring from the 2nd Unit. Turner not allways hits those ugly midrange jumpers.

I totally agree with HCP here, he doesn't get too high or too low. In fact, he doesn't get high or low at all, so much so that I don't consider him a Blazer fan. He does get excited about the Lakers every once in a while, though.....

Be careful what you ask for!

Come on now. Everybody from Grant gets high.

sometimes not getting too high or too low on the team just means HCP can't jump or touch his toes...but I think he's under a gag order anyway

They're odds on favorites to win the title!

Stotts plays his bench players and rookies more than most coaches would....he played Meyers, Freeland, CJ and Crabbe, Claver all during their rookie seasons...everyone on the bench has seen the court 12 games in....that's actually pretty uncommon...

I think Stotts trying to establish his 2nd unit right now. He using Swanigan like he did Crabbe couple years ago when our small foward got hurt. So he doesn't mess with 2nd unit as unit he just replace someone that not rotation has the starter. So I believe Stotts still figures Aminu has his starter when he gets back.

I do not. I think Biggie will continue to start as long as we're playing well.

The joke sailed over your head. But the premise was that while you constantly rail on posters for being extreme in their commentary on the team and its players, you are simultaneously extreme in your comments about the forum and its posters.

You unwittingly emulate the very behavior you purport to despise.

Ah it was a joke, gotcha. But you think I'm wrong that the majority on here are as bi-polar as they get? From winning the championship to finishing dead last in 24 hours. I don't think I'm too off base with that

Yes, I think you're wrong about that. You take a few people who behave in a certain way and extrapolate it across the majority. It's a lazy opinion, but I'm used to it at this point.
