These posts would be great to have all in one thread. If only someone would've started an "Around the NBA" for March or one about the playoff chase.

Denver was the only 3-10 team to drop a game last night, which puts them back in the 10 spot for now. Tonight is the odd night where none of the 8 teams play (there's another on 3/31). When I get into the office this morning, I'll post the graphic containing al the games for the next 15 days. Some interesting stuff in there.

Teams be on our ass

Some notes:
  • Blazers, Thunder, Clippers, and Spurs all have 4 games in the next 15 days against other 3-8 teams. Jazz and Nuggets, by contrast, only have 1 such game each.
  • At least 6 of 8 teams will be in action on the same night four separate times in this stretch, on 3/15 (6), 3/20 (6), 3/23 (7), and 3/30 (7).
  • Pelicans play 7 games in the next 10 days, including a 5-in-6 homestand.
    • Of NOP's 9 games in this 15 day stretch, only 2 are against below-.500 teams, and one of those is against the very hot Lakers.
  • Clippers are essentially in the midst of an 11 game road-trip, having played in Chicago last night, and having 8 more road games in 15 days, with 2 random home games mixed in.
  • Nuggets have a 7-game trip from 3/17-3/30, all of it east of the Mississippi until the final game in OKC.
  • Jazz and Spurs have just 5 road games between them the rest of the month. Spurs also have no B2B's.
  • If things break the way I've projected above, Jazz and Spurs would be sitting at the 5 and 6 seeds respectively at month's end, while the Clippers and Nuggets will be 2 games outside of the playoff spots.

uh what ? they play a back to back to back ?
Yep. They had a game vs Indiana postponed earlier in the season, so the makeup game got scheduled for 3/21, wedged inbetween previously scheduled games on 3/20 (DAL) and 3/22 (LAL).

holy shit, didn't even know this was possible

Extreme situation. There was some sort of roof leak that prevented them from being able to play the game when scheduled on 2/7.

I'm sure if it had been earlier in the season, they would have been able to find a better option, but with only a couple months left, that was the best they could come up with.

Crazy to see SA this low. I wonder if Lakers have a chance at passing them.

Thinking about that "play-in" tourney, where 7/8 play each other and 9/10 play each other for the 7th and 8th seeds... do you think SA could beat Denver in a single game elimination tourney? Would you want to see that? This is a great situation to test that hypothetical tourney.

HOw do you have time to take my order in that little window if you are busy making graphics?

@PtldPlatypus

I wrote this up yesterday before any games were played.

Portland. 41-26
Being 3-0 against the Zombie Sonics basically has a 4 game advantage on the 4th seed.
Portland's next 5.
vs CLE, vs Detroit, @LAC, vs Hou, vs Bos.

Portland should be favored in every game except the Houston game.(Might even be favored in Portland against Houston too)
4-1 isn't unreasonable.

Zombie Sonics 40-29.
Recently taken care of business against lesser comp to climb to the 4th seed.
Zombie Sonics' next 5.
@ATL, vs LAC, @Tor, @Bos, vs MIA

Zombie Sonics won't be favored against Tor.
3-2.
4-1 no irving?

Pelicans 38-28
All depends on AD's health.
vs Charlotte, @Spurs, vs Rockets, vs Celtics, vs Dallas.

Rumors are Leonard's projected return date is Thursday. We'll see if he's ready to go for this game.
3-2 with AD, maybe 4-1?
0-5 without AD, maybe 1-4 pending dallas resting Dirk?

Minnesota Bulls. 39-29
@Wiz, @Spurs, vs Rockets, vs LAC, @NYK
Bulls are struggling right now.
1-4? 2-3?

LAC. 36 - 29

I think this is when LAC falls out of the race.
@Chi, @rockets, @ZombieSonics, vs Portland, vs Minn.
1-4.

Utah. 37 - 30
They just keep winning. He won't, but imo Gobert needs to be 1st team NBA and DPotY.
vs Pistons, vs Suns, vs Sac, vs Hawks, @Dallas
5-0

Denver. 37 - 30

Denver is just god awful on the road.
@lakers, vs Pistons, @Mem, @heat, @Chi
Honestly 2-3 at most imo.

Spurs. 37 - 30
If Leonard returns Thursday, can they make a final push?
vs ORL, vs NOP, vs Minn, vs GSW, vs Wiz
who knows. it's the Spurs.

With both Klay AND Curry out, 2 seed is still in play for us.

Thank you for this. Holy shit what a run Utah is on they are a lock for the playoffs.

Totally up for grabs! 10 games back with 15 to play is basically like a coin flip who will get the 2nd seed between us and GS.

Dude are you fucking blind?
I said on my post I wrote it up around 1am in the morning on the 13th.
Then you link an article that was posted 4pm on the 13th.
Will you kindly please just go away?

Even if you want to use timezone to try and troll like you always fucking do.
I still wrote it up before noon on the 13th.
Stop trolling.

Nope. You said it was reported today. It wasn't. But that's besides the point. My initial response was just to update people in case you didn't know. Then you freaked out.
