I could watch any one of his teams all day, every day.

Thank you, Gronk, for opening my eyes.

We know you do.

Starting a thread to repeat a simple sentence that you've said dozens of times is selfish. Repetition and domination is a trait the O-Livers share.

I've said dozens of times? LOL, this may be the most ironic post I've seen in years.

I believe you're serious. Wow

I love reading Lanny's posts....

But I'm not sure making a thread just to troll Mr Gronk is going to go well.
I've read his incessant posts endlessly. I don't feel I'm over exaggerating here.

Anyhow, I didn't mean it in a harmful way. I find the situation somewhat amusing.

However, if it's your wish, I'll delete it.

It's fine. I just want to talk Gronk off the ledge, not give him a second one to yell at everyone from.

I'm fine with deleting it but I don't even see that option.

Yeah, I guess it was somewhat akin to waving a red flag at a bull in Spain.

Their criticism of Gronk is that he's repetitive. But the reason he is, is that the 3 new O-Live status quoers are.

Let this specialized personal anti-Gronk thread die, and continue the argument in the threads where it's already going strong.

No worries broski... some old geezer that farts dust doesn’t bother me. I actually feel sorry for the guy... he blows 50+ grand on season tickets every year for a shit product instead of traveling the world or donating to charity

lanny is one of the nicest guys you can meet and would be the first to take the shirt off his back to help someone. You on the other hand I'll use your logic, if you dislike the Blazers so much why don't you find a team you can enjoy rather than annoy all the fans in this forum.

I haven’t met him, but even in disagreement I’ve found Lanny to always be one of the nicest / most respectful posters I’ve seen around the internet.

You can’t blame Blazer fans for being upset with how the last few seasons have ended though.

False "dominance." I'm slowly learning to distinguish the different personalities of these 3 guys. They're still blurry in similarity, but I'll separate their traits eventually.

Seriously, this forum is full of the biggest bunch of pansies... you guys can dish it out but when it gets returned you get all emotional... put me on ignore bro, I’m not posting for u to see... and Lanny should be able to fight his own battle if he starts an entire thread to egg me on

You keep repeating that mantra, and ignoring the pre-all Star break 2/3 of each season. That way, critics can be belittled as fickle.

...trying to separate the individuals here...so I don't accuse one of the others' faults.

It's a thread about Neil Olshey....all Lanny did was thank somebody who has a broken record of Olshey sucks posts for inspiring him to give Olshey a shoutout...only a real snowflake would get EMO over this thread and start name calling! There's an "ignore thread" function on the top right of the page for anyone who doesn't want to add to the Olshey appreciation thread.....only one I can remember ever posted on the forum....we have many that support Gronk's view of Olshey....glad to see some optimism...and balance.

I’m confused by this post. They’ve been pretty sucky the first 2/3rds of the season too, but more importantly they keep ending the season like garbage... not sure why I need to talk about the 1st 2/3rds of the season more.

Actually I can, and I will.
These people who think Portland was a shoe in for round 2 this year were fooling them self.
Portland like every playoff team not named GSW or Houston are a middle of the pack team.
These middle of the pack teams can beat, or lose to anyone on any night.
@HCP catches a lot of flack around here, but at isn't wrong when he says. The people who fly off the handle are generally those who have super high expectations of the team coming into the season. It's worse when the team exceeds those expectations because people aren't happy with that. They then choose to raise their expectations further.

These people whining that the team is ass are not willing to sit through a complete rebuild.
They say they are, but don't realize their words mean nothing. It's their pocket books which mean something.

Not being able to compete with GS and getting ran out of the playoffs in 4 games by the Pelicans are two completely different things. I didn’t think they were a shoe in for the 2nd round, but the final stretch of the season they lost to two teams not even trying, a 4 game losing streak, and then got punked by one of those teams they should’ve been competitive with. They’re like 1-15 in their last 16 playoff games too.

Olshey said something like, "A week ago, everyone unanimously loved Stotts and me. Purely because of the 4 playoff games, now they are critics." It's the same contempt you see on this board all season, "It was just one game. As soon as we win one, all this fickle criticism will disappear."
--------------
I found the Olshey quote.

"Where were all these people that wanted these sweeping changes 10 days ago."

You (and Olshey) pretend that the criticism/desire for deep change is just a shallow, temporary, spontaneous reaction to the playoffs. No, it existed all season long, and has all through the Stotts years.

Mason Plumlee didn't play this season for us...nor Alan Crabbe..we lost 10 playoff games...4 to the pels and 6 to the Warriors....everybody else lost to the warriors as well..

No I don’t my desire to see change is that the last 3 seasons have fet the same. They suck, then their good for a while, then they get stomped in the playoffs. I kind of gave them some slack the last couple years because GS is like an all time great basketball team, but this year was the Same thing, yes they improved on defense - while getting worse on offense, but in the end the movies way to played out for my tastes.
My over-reaction to the season and playoffs lasted a couple days (the screw the whole team, trade everybody, fire everyone stuff), but I’ve cooled off and I think really need a new GM and / or coach, but I also realize it’s not hopeless, and I have 0 authority in the situation.

Well, you keep inferring that the only reason for dissatisfaction is 4 games, when that reason is just the tip of the iceberg.

How does the last “few” seasons, make it sound like it’s just 4 games...? This one was especially bad because of the opponent, but it’s been a recurring theme, and like I said the GS thing I mean they beat everybody so, it didn’t bother me as much. They should’ve at least been competitive with the Pelicans though.
We have definitely seen the same rinse and repeat season now 3 times though overall they were better this year because they actually played defense but the important part is that all of that and it ended just like they were playing GS again...

I thought, especially since this has an "OT" on it, that Olshey has some other teams besides the Blazers that he actually does a good job of managing and that play a entertaining, team-oriented game. Maybe a foosballs team, or curling or junior high basket ball? But I guess that wasn't it.
