If I were in charge, I'd be making moves to land either Barton or Hezonja.

However, Olshitty's M.O. is to crush the optimism out of this fanbase, as per usual.

I think this summer in particular would be extremely smart to sit back and wait. Let teams blow their wads and then scoop up someone valuable after the dust clears, like what Memphis did with Tyreke Evans last year. The trade exceptions could be valuable for teams desperate to clear cap space.

I like Hezonja because I think he can be had for cheap. Barton is going to get a good sized deal but even if he doesn't there aren't teams with tons of capspace so there isn't any team that we can unload our contracts to and free up capspace without paying a kings ransom for it, I can't figure out how we can even free up 10m in capspace for Barton.

Blazers will use the bigger trade exeption with MyLe to bring Kawhi then use the smaller exception to add a PF but unfortunately we have another year of "chief" as small ball power forward
