There are rumblings through the league that he's coming back to play with LeBron. He's only 39. Jordan was 40 in his last season for Wizards.

Shaq was trolling Kobe on this, after Shaq was asked if he would comeback to LA to play with Lebron.

Too bad this person can’t see the Around The NBA thread huh? Instead he starts a whole separate thread about Kobe on our Blazers forum.
good thing you can't see this thread then

Yeah, how'd that work out?

But hey, sure, let an old broken down Kobe jack up 20+ shots per game that could go to more efficient shooters. I'd be all for that. Maybe Magic and Kareem can come back and join them, too. Maybe even make Magic the player-coach.

A guy can dream...

That's why Kobe is so overrated. It's pretty much a given he'll destroy the team from within.

Wow! Maybe Kareem could ramper up in ol' Smogtown too.

If Kobe comes back...a good player will miss out on an allstar nod....hang it up dude...you're old news...go play 3 on 3 ball for Gary Payton's team

Used to be when players were too old for the NBA grind they joined the Harlem Globetrotters....as they should

One of my favorite things in here is how unreasonably annoyed you get when someone starts a thread that could’ve gone into an existing thread
on the other hand, the last couple years threads that should be posts are popping up daily ...and many are not new topics..Around the NBA is where half these should go....good threads get buried on the front page by threads that are actually posts....not topics that bring something new to the board

About 23/6/5

People forget how well he played for Washington. It was astonishing.

Kobe’s injuries seemed to really slow him down before he even finished. Jordan didn’t finish that way with the Bulls, I think he finished exhausted after 3 straight championships and some of those eastern conference battles.
I’m just not sure Kobe’s got anything left, he might..

He might want that elusive 6th ring!

People also forget that he missed 22 games, WAS went 37-45 and missed the playoffs.

People also forget that he was jacking up nearly 23 shots per game and had, by far, the worst TS% of his career. He also didn't have to share the ball with LeBron James. He was basically a high volume chucker on a crappy team. The only other scoring threat on that WAS team was a very young Rip Hamilton.

Tony Campbell averaged 23.2 ppg on 3.5 fewer shot attempts per game and a much higher TS% for a crappy MIN team (and he did it for a full 82 games). Was that astonishing, too? Somebody has to score on a shitty team.

So yeah, I hope Kobe comes out of retirement and steals shots and cap space from more deserving players. I'd be all for that. Kobe isn't Michael and even Micheal couldn't lead his team anywhere but into the lottery at 38 and 39.
