Is Meyers Leonard playing decent basketball?

His thread was different from mine. It did not include a poll. It also referenced the preseason scrimmage at Fan Fest.
 
If we look at per36, Meyers is averaging career bests in rebs, asts, and is right there with the pts..

He's also averaging a career best TREB% of 17.7%. And his Drtg is a respectable 103, with an Ortg of 119.

I like what I'm seeing out of Meyers so far this year. He's a solid rotational player. Keep it up big guy!
 
For Meyers, he's having a great year so far. For a player of his size and supposed abilities, not so much. But the Blazers are stuck with him, and I think Stotts is using Leonard correctly so far... limited minutes, playing him more when he's having success, and yanking him when he's faced with a bad matchup or making a few initial mistakes. The key to Meyer's game is his head: a highly confident Meyers is a good player. A down-on-himself Meyers is a total liability, and thankfully the coaching staff seems to have realized that and is playing him accordingly.
 
Short answer: yes.

Long answer: I think we've finally, at long last, found a player he can play alongside that covers his weaknesses and complements his strengths. Of all the things that Collins can do and has done, turning Meyers back into a useful player may well be the most impressive.
 
Man he’s playing ok lol it’s sad this is absolutely the best he can play and it’s worth praising smh lol

Good for Meyers getting a 40M contract let’s just say that

I show no apostrophe and I never posted one. If you remove it you'll be doing me a favor by correcting it to what I actually posted.
 
My official opinion of Meyers is this - whatever he gives us is gravy. I have zero expectations for him. If he plays well, awesome. If he plays poorly, I'm not really surprised and I don't care. Could I still be angry with the team for how they handled his development? Sure. But at this point he is what he is. I don't see him changing drastically at this stage and I'm fine with that.

In the title there is clearly an apostrophe.

@PtldPlatypus I find it funny that in the "similar threads" section there are two other posts with Meyer's in them.

Your title, perhaps, but not mine. I show no apostrophe and I posted it with no apostrophe. How this happened is a total mystery to me. I blame the deep state.

I posted it with proper punctuation so the fault must lie with the deep state.

I kind of think you have to leave it now, lol. There is also a period at the end of the poll question.
 
Oops, I see it now. I apologize to the deep state. I must have made my one goof that I make every year. Well, there was that year when I thought I made a mistake but I actually never made a mistake.

At this point, I'd have to put it back, which would make me complicit, and I can't abide that. However, I will leave the poll title and options unchanged unless requested.
