I swear someone else had posted a thread already, but I can't find it. So I decided I'd create a new post knowing full well whoever created the thread last month will post in this thread asking their thread to be merged with this one. Because obviously creating the thread is so important you do it a month early.

You could call it "Is this team for real?" Or maybe "Is 'Team X' for real?"

Just the "Real thread". Keep it simple. Will catch the "is player X real" and the "does this pimple look like a real STD" dregs too.

Just get rid of threads make it a free for all.

Hey where is MY December thread!!!!!???? You better merge FAMS!

I was going to offer up a rejoinder about being pre-occupied negotiating a merger with Mrs HCP, but that would be crude, immature, and way too easy. Just like.....dammit!

is HCP due for a pullback?...

HCP reported third-quarter 2018 FFO as adjusted of 44 cents per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 43 cents...

HCP had cash and cash equivalents of around $78.9 million as of Sep 30, 2018, significantly up from $55.3 million recorded at the end of 2017...

At this time, HCP has a poor Growth Score of F, however its Momentum Score is doing a bit better with a D. Following the exact same course, the stock was allocated a grade of D on the value side, putting it in the bottom 40% for this investment strategy.

Overall, the stock has an aggregate VGM Score of F...HCP has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).

Vonleh got Vonleh'd
Layman gets Vonleh'd
Stauskas gets Vonleh'd
Etc.

This is a coaching problem. Fix it NO!

Noah, 6 for 6 , 3 for 3 on 3 pointers, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, one steal.
Here are some recent quotes from Brian Freeman: "I was against Portland getting rid of Vonleh in the first place. I’m against all non-basketball salary moves, but I also wasn’t done with him in a Blazers uniform. People forget that when the Blazers dumped Vonleh, he was just 22 years old. His shooting and statistical improvements are pretty congruent with his age, so I do think progress is a big component here. Of course, I’m not betting on him to make an All-Star team, and certainly not counting out the ‘bad team’ effect, but I’m not surprised by the jump."
"After the draft, the Blazers had Jusuf Nurkic, Meyers Leonard, Al-Farouq Aminu, Ed Davis, Maurice Harkless, Collins, Caleb Swanigan and Vonleh all on the roster. Eight guys (if you generously count Harkless) best suited for the 4-5 spots, and all of them deserved some time on the court. It didn’t make any sense to construct the team that way, and it made less sense to keep it like that. To this day, I’m not sure what the plan was."
"Portland had given up on Vonleh, and they clearly didn’t know that Vonleh was capable of making the leap as a shooter. The type of basketball that Vonleh is playing now would fit seamlessly with Portland. He is shooting 41 percent from beyond the arc, he can switch all over the place and he rebounds the ball with passion. He clearly fits the needs of this current Blazer team."

It physically hurts.

Didn't someone say here from an Olshey meet and greet that Neil said even Swanigan would outplay Noah before a single game last year. Maybe we just needed a big man coach?

Don't ignore the fact that Pat Connaughton was +13 with 5 assists in 36 minutes!

Let's compile a list of players who got better after the Blazers dumped them.
Obviously the prime example is Jermaine O'Neal (but at least we got Dale Davis for him).
But perhaps even better was Zach Randolph. I think he got a wakeup call when he got bounced around a little and he stopped the, um, extracurricular bullshit. Vonleh's more like Jermaine: he's found someone who believes in him. Fitzdale is also working wonders for Hardaway Jr. and Mudiay. Meanwhile the players the Knicks thought would be their core, Ntilikina and Knox, are sidelined.

Can we be a player in free agency?

Even if we don't win a championship we are still useful to the league. Look at all the players we help develop for other teams.
But I thought they only play better here because our system is empowering?!

Watch Stauskas truly become J.J. Redick next year.

When did SAUCE start? He never started.

You don't have to start to get Vonleh'd just play well and then get benched for the majority of the game. Stotts has a bad habit of forgetting who's hot unless you're Dame or CJ.
