What a rough and heartbreaking loss that was against Denver. The more I think about how the last couple minutes transpired, the angrier I get. Luckily, we have a game the very next night, so we can just turn the page and focus on this game against the Kings.

The Kings will want a bit of payback after falling to the Blazers in OT on New Year's Day, where the Kings held a 9-point lead with about 3 minutes left to go in regulation. While Sacramento didn't get the win that night, it may have enabled them to believe they have the ability to defeat the Blazers, despite being dominated by them for years now.

Portland has won 12 of their last 14 meetings with the Kings, and has won 4 straight.
Can they do make it 5? I hope so because we need a win after that brutal game last night.

Not gonna watch this next game either. The Kings have some good players, don't sleep on them.
The key would be our concentration on defense, every time we get stuck we need to get back in the game through defense, work hard on the possesion - get a stop and then things get easier. Of course we need to concentrate on every defensive possesion but even if they make a little run the key to stopping it and get back on top is locking-in on defense

I'm ready for a big Dame scoring night. He hasn't been above 30 in forever and his 3pt shot has gone into the tank this month so far. Need to get back on track. Jusuf was due for a bad game-- he looks like he's really laboring out there. Time for our superstar to step up.

I think he'll look forward to feasting on WCS again, especially after losing a tête-à-tête with Jokic.

Good point. A healthy Harkless would help this too. He was key to our last 2 road wins.

I can't wait for Meyers Leonard to switch onto Fox at random, for Turner to guard Cauley-Stein for a 6 minute stretch were WCS has 19 points, for Layman to have 16 points in 7 minutes while Stauskas has 2 points in 15 minutes with many contested fadeaway twos, and for people to claim Im painting a negative picture of Stotts for the hell of it!

Dude--you can skip the game! You've already experienced all the angst 12 hours in advance!

I realize that last post might not have come out right. I'm just celebrating with you. You've given yourself a reason to take the night off. That's excellent time management by you, bro!

It was in Denver and they were coming off embarrassing loss to Booker-less Suns. I don’t think we were the favorite.

If we can't beat a team without a starter (#3 scorer) and two of their top rotation players when they are on a 5 in 7 stretch.....perhaps they are just better than the Blazers.

The record going into the game and pretty much every metric told us that Denver is a better team. We didn't need proof of that last night. I'm not sure a close win would have indicated otherwise either.

The issue for me is that last night was more like a tough playoff game where we can't seem to get over the hump and are impeded by our own bad decisions. Winning a game like that puts us in a better place both mentally and in the standings.

As for the poll, I voted against Zach, but not necessarily FOR Jackson/Giles. There were other players available at 15/20/26 that are better than Zach.

That said, the trade has been a wash so far.

Maybe you're forgetting that Zach was on the 2018 Summer League Championship Team!

Why would you be such a fan of a team to take time to come on here, but not watch the game?

I think he lives in Isreal or something way over there, it can be really hard to watch all the games even without that big if a time zone difference.

I thought you were completely serious.

This Syracuse @ Duke game has been great! It's in OT right now. Anyone watching it right now?

has at @Jade Falcon seen this poll yet???? :)

I have. I'll be honest: I don't know who the two other guys are besides Collins. The NBA draft isn't my strong suit, nor do I follow the Kings. So I can't comment on whether they would be better on this team than Zach is.

And with that, I need to start my pre-game preparations. So excuse me while I get a rubber glove, and Ox, and a drink.

The Ox's name is Randalf. Don't look him in the eye.....he doesn't like it. :smiley-ugh:
