Saw mention of Scherzer on the game one post. I did see an article that the Nationals may make Scherzer available. The man signed a deal with Washington thinking they had a chance to win which never materialized. At 2 ears & 2o + mil on his contract Cashman should be checking up on that one. I think so far this year the Nationals had lost 10 Games started by Scherzer because of their shitty pen.

And as for your comment in game 1 about Tanaka and Rothschild...ummm, yea that does kind of fall on both the pitcher and his coach. Tanaka since coming here has had a propensity of giving up the long ball. A REAL pitching coach would try to fix that, but not Rothschild. He just keeps clapping in the dugout and looking clueless as usual.

Both Maybin and Frazier have similar skills. Maybin a higher OBP%, Red SLG/OPS%
Maybe keep both and DFA Morales. Let LMHU backup Voit and Gio.

But you act like the fucking morality police on these boards. It’s not as if people are only just starting to complain about these guys. And I’m not complaining about a Tarpley type coming in and shitting the bed. I’m talking about Paxton, a man who threw a no-no last year and this year is struggling a ton. Tanaka, who has constantly given up HRs, and still continues to and it would be nice to see some sort of progress on him not giving up a HR plus per game. The ERA may be 3rd, but there are a TON of issues on this staff with guys not pitching how they should and regressing and not progressing.
You cannot keep going to your bullpen like Boone does this early in the year and expect to have anything left in September/October. That’s an issue I have with Boone as is his love with Morales, who if DJ can play first, really isn’t needed on this team (despite finally having a good day today).
Team is in first place in June. Cool. Do they give out trophies for that? No? Oh ok. Maybe that’s why we worry/complain because we can see that the team is flawed compared to Houston, who we are going to have to get through to get to the WS, and yet we go get Morales and keep him up here instead of going after a starter and getting someone. While I’m not a Keuchel fan, I would’ve taken a one year flier on him since he typically gives you innings and wouldn’t have cost anything but money. Cashman is limited in what he can do because of Hal only caring about money not winning, so he has to be budget conscience, which is why Keuchel didn’t happen. Nor Corbin.

Frazier is a concern because if you keep him and he starts in the OF, you know late in the game you have to sub for him defensively which means you have to keep another player on the bench to sub for him.Thanks, good points
