Trump invites Taliban to Camp David for meeting a day before September 11 this is not normal what the fuck is going on


 
What kind of people kill other people to strengthen their bargaining position?

Does he not know the history of WW1? or 2? Or the Korean War? or Viet Nam? Or any war ever!?

It was a rhetorical question, duh.

He understands what kind of people they are, now it's clear to other people.

We can leave them to continue their millennial war, or we can annihilate them. I don't care which.

You cannot negotiate with liars who place no honor in their own word.

No, but he does know that our Revolutionary war heroes liberated our airports for us. Their heroics were only outdone by our current President as he evaded VD while our Vietnam soldiers were having it easy on the battlefields in Vietnam.
 
I do find it interested/comforting, though, that we seem to hear less and less about the taliban and ISIS as the months roll on.

I think that has more to do with our loss of interest in the region, and our short attention span.

Trust me, ALL bombings are reported. We used to hear/read about them on a regular basis.....all over the world. Me thinks we nailed their critical operations. Now, does that mean they're defeated (as Trump claims)? Not a chance. Unfortunately, these guys will keep coming back like nasty weeds. So, does that mean a solid/ongoing offense is the best defense? Dunno.

And, yeah, I have NO idea why Trump would want to invite those scuzbags to Camp David.

ISIS is slowly making a comeback and we are just as slowly beginning to hear about it more and more.

Well, he has been pretty unsuccessful getting the sports teams to visit the White House so he thought he would instead invite some of his closest friends.

I think we're also a nation of short attention span thinkers. The old saying is "if it bleeds, it leads" should be changed to "hey look, SQUIRREL!"

I think it's because he thinks it's like a business. No one in business was trying to kill Trump, so inviting them to negotiate wasn't considered stupid. He's trying to run the nation, and deal with other nations, like you do in business.

This is a lie ABM....I was a radioman during the Vietnam War and they DON'T report a lot of stuff to the mainstream media...some stuff won't be released for decades after the fact. You seem to like to latch onto "finite" statements like this which are rarely the case. If an American soldier kills another one over a drug deal during a war ...trust me...the body count will usually be called an "enemy kill" instead of a murder ...body counts are not trustworthy once they've hit the news reels. They are almost always skewed to fit the narrative of winning. They are aimed at folks like you to achieve exactly that effect.....military communications 101....we dropped a lot of bombs on Cambodia that never made the news.

I can only imaging the outrage and abuse from the right had Obama invited the Taliban to the US during his time in office. He would have literally been crucified......that Trump cancelled the meeting (or so we’re told) is utterly irrelevant.

There is no way any country or united front can stop the tribalism in the mid east. They eat their own. Always have always will. The Shia and Sunnis are determined to kill each other off and anyone that gets in their way. Its a religious muslim war.

Obama got chastised for wearing a tan suit. How can anyone do something so despicable? Obviously proves he was a Muslim and not a US citizen.

I had a security clearance while in Vietnam and I can tell you from first hand experience that battle field reports are classified top secret.
