back alley abortionists don't keep really careful records for pretty obvious reasons....if you research the history of abortion when it was shunned legally, it's a horror story for prostitutes, nuns, school girls, many, many women who were forced into the black market for their situations. Health being part of it...sometimes mental health issues....it's a complicated and sad history that can't be whitewashed and looked at as another shithole country problem. I grew up with many Irish catholic family members who probably had your views on abortion....they also had those views on divorce....does divorce come into play in your view of a viable candidate? Just asking.

Riverman makes some good points about actual abortions. For me its things like access to birth control, health care and education, and not specific abortion laws that make the difference. I think the overall plan should be stopping the problem before they need an abortion.
 
If the administration really doesn't comply with the investigation, and the dems keep twiddling their thumbs, it will be time for protests in DC. Make this shit ugly.
 
I think the dems move on impeachment may have just been a rope a dope to get Trump to expose himself to more obstructionist behavior...like asking China to now investigate Biden, etc....they may not even vote on impeachment and let this kill his re-election campaign like a fly on the wall. I think it's working too. He's piling up more and more retractors with every tweet and refusal to follow the laws that separate the legislative and executive branches of govt...it could very well cause him to resign

I'm angry that there is no response from the House to that bullshit letter from 45's counsel outside of some faint rage on twitter. They have always struggled in being aggressive when the situation calls for it. Another classic example.

Where are the subpoenas? Where is the SGT of arms?

I think you are giving way too much credit to the Democratic party here. They are not that cunning.

Not that I think much of the Republican party either. I am not sure why they wanted to have a TV evil cartoon character as a president - but if they do, why not go with Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. He has some charisma, at least.
 
I've yet to meet an anti abortion person who has adopted a child, you know one of the options they say a woman should look into instead of an abortion.

Instead of telling people what they should and shouldn't do how about being part of the solution you say you believe in.

(And no @ABM, I didn't mean this for you, you're too old to raise kids, lol)

And why they feel like they have jurisdiction over a woman's body keeps on being baffling to me. Even more confusing is that they think our current president/veep are the ones to trust blindly to tell a woman what to do instead of an actual woman.

My mother and father were raised in orphanages during the great depression....it was that or starve to death at the time.

Admittedly, it really is a complicated issue. I certainly don't want to see any so-called back alley abortions as a result of the laws of the land. However, I would to see more education surrounding the issue. Abortions are not some simple medical procedure. There are potentially severe emotion ramifications connected to them...especially as it relates to teen girls. s I see it, though, Liberal policies don't want to discuss that. Abortions are viewed as some type of liberating procedure...freeing the woman from her "burden" and that all will be well in the aftermath. Again, I wish there would be more education around all that.

You should make "Free castrations" your campaign slogan.

The reality of the situation is that people make mistakes or (worse) forced into the situation. So the question is - is it a one mistake and you are out situation or do we give people some time to go fix them problem (abortions).

I honestly can not see how anyone can be a proponent of the "one mistake and you are out" doctrine and still be a Trump supporter. It's logically impossible.

I think the old school status quo within that party have been exposed as lazy by some pissed off freshman who would have been muzzled if their were a more competent president to tolerate...Trump has brought this onslaught of ridiculous threat and false truths to the boiling point for too many people who either address it now or lose all credibility....I'm hoping that in the future we have stricter vetting for elected officials before they are accepted as candidates and that we have term limits for legislators and Supreme Court judges.

You seem to be under the impression that there is a method to their support. The whole party is full of hypocrisy. That guy is a serial womanizer who has no respect for anybody. Yet he upholds Christian Values, apparently and deserves a vote.
 
Instead of abortions the embryo should be removed and frozen for later implantation into a woman who wants a child.

I'm sure that would satisfy everyone.

I'm certainly about the education of kids as it pertains to the dangers and health concerns of pre-maritial sex. Not that they'll all follow it, but that's still not an excuse for eliminating the education altogether.
 
Still waiting for what's left of the GOP to finally stand up and show some backbone and do what's right instead of what's right for their party.

Even more hilarious is his wife's campaign of anti cyber bullying where as her husband is one of the biggest abusers of cyber bullying, The hypocrisy of this family knows no limits.

This gets down to the basic divide on the issue, imo. Personally I dont feel the same as you about the fetus being a human with human rights, but thats not the point, It just makes it easier for me to be ok with the procedure if all else fails. I agree that the proceed can be traumatic and cause regret in some individuals. I think the trauma is greater on the parent (especially a teen), the child and society if we force people to carry to term babys that they are not emotionally, physically or financially able to support.

I think there is a moral trade off on both points of view though. Liberals think the moral trade off is a greater good allowing the abortion and letting the few who regret it suffer with their decision. Conservatives feel that the moral trade off is greater by not allowing an abortion knowing people will unsafely get them anyway and the ones who dont will suffer through raising an unwanted child.

I might be ok with a more conservative view point if they weren't moving to restrict access to birth control, health care and limit education at every opportunity. It just feels really hypocritical.
