Well, this is fun.

My arthritis has gotten so bad that the joints in my fingers are now bone-on-bone. Tomorrow they begin putting screws in my fingers. In theory, this will provide some relief from the constant pain - at the cost of losing even more mobility/use.

For some indeterminate time, I will be unable to type, use a mouse, etc with my right hand. In other words, I won't be posting for....????

I would say "wish me luck", but I know many of you will be waaay to busy celebrating! :cheers:
 
I have the same problem.

I fight through the pain though.

Oh man, that just sucks. Get a left handed mouse. You won't be able to type but at least you'll be able to surf the net.

And more importantly, GET WELL ASAP!
 
Hope you heal well..when you do get some range of motion back...it's good to squeeze a rubber ball ..get some muscle mass working
 
Get one of those pencil like sticks and use that with an iPad. As long as you can hold it you should be fine.
 
Good luck. Try a roller ball mouse if you haven't.

Grouch, here's an idea to research...verbal-command cursor controls. I know nothing about them. I think Windows and other operating systems have them built-in. I think they split the screen into navigating windows. You will need a microphone and many hours of patience to become fast at it.

I have Rheumatoid arthritis. Ask your Doctor for Rasuvo (methotrexate) injection 20 mg. I hope it works. It did for me. I use hand exercise squeezers as part of my exercise routine. Got to exercise. Also try Magnesium Citrate.. Good Luck. This disease sucks. It can be awful with a pain like knifes stabbing your joints or muscles associated with that joint.

I'm wishing you and your operation turn out better than you expect. I'll drink a toast to you the next bottle of Dom Perignon that I open which I expect to be this New Year's Eve.

I'd rather have boobs than coffee, although at my age I'm not sure why.

I used to have the biggest crush on Megan Fox......especially after that first Transformers movie.....BUT....... google images of her thumb. It's all jacked up!!!! Can't do it. She has like a hobbit thumb!

As long as she doesn't have big feet. Big feet on a woman are where I draw the line.
 
UPDATE

First surgery went well, though I can still only use the index finger and thumb on my right hand. Once I get back full use on the right back (another month....maybe) they can start on the left! :smiley-pat:

Probably just as well it takes me an extra long time to type right now - at least I am less inclined to rant about things! :bgrin:
