The embassy thing in Iraq being blamed on Iranians (might have some credibility I don’t really know) and now this. This really feels like an escalation that we may not be able to come back from without full blown war. Experts saying retaliation for this will far exceed the embassy attack and be far wider range into the west. Any non conspiracy theorists that have insight into this care to chime in?

I thought Hillary was the war hawk and we were getting out of the Mid East with Trump. Was told this a million times right here on this board. Now I’m reading about non violent responses by Iran that will skyrocket our gas prices?

You mean does anyone want to parrot some establishment media talking points? I’m sure you’ll find a few that are more than willing.
Well being that my comment struck you and you didn’t participate in a dialogue I know where you sit

Americans cheered when we took out ubl this guy has been responsible for many American lives over the years. War lord that was planning to attack more Americans.
I’m also glad we sent Marines in to protect our embassy. Something that should have been done in Benghazi’s.
I’m not a trump supporter at all and I have a son in the region but I favor tracking down terrorist.

Willing to go to full scale war for this?

Me wanting to learn more about this would make me a conspiracy theorist? What in the actual fuck are you even talking about. Just back out of the conversation if you’re going to be like this. It’s dumb. This seems extremely relevant

The only reasons we’re over there are the ones people get called conspiracy theorists for daring to bring up. I apologize for being snarky but you’re initial comment won’t wield any truthful results. You’re shutting down the conversation before it even begins. The term “conspiracy theorist” doesn’t mean anything. It’s now just a way for the mainstream media to discredit people who don’t fall in line with their narratives.

Christ is the only one I support in this war FAMS

War is evil

I'm honestly just trying to learn the potential ramifications of this and a strategic passage of oil to the west that is bordered by Iran seems pretty damn significant. If not just to give the gas companies an excuse to gouge out of fear of lack of supply (true or not). I'm not well versed in the Iran situation and just trying to learn without as much disinformation as possible re: conspiracy theorists

Don't know. Would love to know. But honestly, I don't think it's worth full scale war either way. I don't know....
I don’t either! And I’m thinking the region and the Iranian people that want freedom from the theocracy will be better of.

Yeah, we've heard this story before. Sorry, not trying to be a dick, but yeah, we've heard this story before. We are NOT liberators. We are NOT viewed as liberators. Haven't we at LEAST learned that over the last 20 years?

Fair enough. Looks like you’re off to a good start, honestly. Natural resources and control of sensitive regions is why were there. Protesters in Iraq and nuclear programs have zero to do with it, although they make for great excuses.

Iran was a very modern and progressive country in the 1960’s, even a tourist destination for vacationers from the west, if you can believe it. That was right before we overthrew their government and installed puppet dictators. We fucked that country and put them where they are today. We’ve been strangling them with sanctions ever since.
