Huge game in what should be a wild atmosphere at the Nassau Coliseum. The Rangers need a 3-1 record in the next four games any way you slice it.

Islanders blew their load on a half ass team because their gm is incompetent and senile. Next year they won’t make the playoffs

I will say one thing, if the Rangers can win tonight, and the Canes lose to the Stars it gets real with 20 games left.

Tough schedule, so hopefully they can stay with 5-6 points by the time Shest may return with 15 or so games left.

Islanders have ZERO creativity on offense other than Barzal.

Gonna be a bit of rough sledding with Smith back on D but what can you do for now.

Just checked the score and of course, Pageau scored. This guy scores in every single freaking game he plays the rangers.

They all count....Shesterkin is likely going to miss 15 games minimum. So it will be tough for them but, beat the right teams (NYI/PHI/CBJ) in regulation and it's possible. Tough schedule all around though as you said.

Now that the type of hit i like to see, man trouba absolutely leveled him.

Saw that coming. Couldn't get the puck out of their zone. Terrible to blow a 3-1 lead in the final five minutes.

The Strome penalty was the turning point. Could've at least killed off 2 min on the pp. They go into a shell with a lead.

The second goal by the Isles is 100% on Staal. Not only does he not get over and prevent it, but he also clips Georgiev. 3rd goal could’ve been prevented had they just iced the puck instead of playing it behind their own net. Just stupid mistakes. Call me crazy, but I really don’t want this team to make the playoffs. I’d rather have lottery pick but still have these young guys playing in games that somewhat matter than being in the playoffs and losing in the first round.

**What an amazing play by Panarin and a great finish by Zib. Wow. Great win tonight over the Isles. Should’ve won in regulation but any win over the Isles is a good win.

They are playing in intense games right now and rising to the challenge. It's good experience for all of them. I want them in the playoffs because crazy shit happens in the playoffs.

That’s so stupid, not wanting to the team to make the playoffs. What the hell do you watch it for some retarded draft pick that probably won’t even pan out

Fuck that make the playoffs. Enough with this draft shit. Everyone they draft sucks anyway
Who said they have to use the pick to draft someone. Can use it in a trade lol. Honestly, I’d rather them not rush Shesty back and let him be fully healthy and then start our run next year. If we’re close I’m worried he’ll try to play through the injury and could wind up hurting himself worse. If he’s not hurt then I’m totally on board with going for it and riding the playoff wave, but with this injury I’d rather they let him heal properly. We’ll have plenty of playoff runs with him in net in the future.

He has a rib injury. He should man up and get over it.
This here tells me you’re a moron. A-it’s not just a “rib injury” is a broken rib, which if you’ve ever had is painful and limits your mobility and can even affect your breathing. B- HES A FUCKING GOALIE. He uses his chest to make saves, and if you don’t think that pain would be excruciatingly bad then please let’s break one of your ribs, put you in goalie equipment and have these NHLers take 40 shots at you like our goalies face. Jesus you’re dense.

I’m
Not watching this team for another Lias Andersson. I’m watching them for them to make the playoffs. Just like teams thAt were trading at the deadline to make the playoffs

Saying someone should play goal with a broken rib is pretty ridiculous. That's painful as all hell.

Sucks they let the Isles get a point but at least they won.
