Terrible grammar
 
She's clearly suffering from a mental illness, and the governor of the 3rd largest economy in the world refuses to provide mental health care facilities and services for the roughly 2 million Californians suffering mental distress.

The name Arechiga doesn't exactly sound like it originated "here".

While Trump has seemingly doubled-down on the whole immigration thing (overreacting to mass derision from the left(?)), I think his big deal all along has been his focus to attempt to keep ISIS, Al-Qaeda (and the like) factions out of our country. I mean, they're crafty beasts, who wouldn't think twice about involving women, children, and the poor-me's of the world in their collective efforts to infiltrate our nation. They hate us. have always hated us...and are continuing to do all they can to take us down.

As to the OP, there are kooks here, as well.

yeah. I don't think its been a racially motivated thing at all. I think its just been a legality and close the holes, thing with regards to Trump.

i need to point out, i corrected it, but had quite the typo. I said it is being a black Racial thing and i meant beyond a black racial thing.
 
Diagnosing mental illness is not my area of expertise and I imagine that's true of others here.

But...

If someone posts flyers saying aliens from Alpha Centauri are reprogramming our brains, that is mental illness.
If someone posts flyers assuming neighbors, based on their ethnicity, are aliens that should leave America so white people only can live here, that is racism.

It's really not difficult.

do you think there could be a cross over? Meaning some people soo deluded for so long with racial hatred, it has become a form of mental illness?
Curious.

I mean that would then give way to possibly locking racists up in a facility to try to change their thinking?

That could get really sticky regarding personal rights. Not sure where i would land on that.
What is required to sufficiently convict someone of being racists? A thought or admission alone, a violent act committed with racial hatred as the instigation?


Interesting topic though, cause something needs to be done to get through to these people or isolate them from society.

Because I think Trump's heavy-duty campaigns have brought some of the crazies out of the woodwork. They're somehow now emboldened to do wacky, scary things. Errr....wait. Society has had to deal with these types since long, long before were were born.

angry racists are suffering from one thing in this case.....angry racism...they don't get to play the suffering from mental illness card unless they've been clinically diagnosed with mental disorders....the people who locked up Japanese Americans in concentration camps during WWII or the Nazis who locked up Jews, Gypsies in Europe don't get to play that card either...unless they think it gets them out of jail..McCarthyism witch hunts for commies ruining American lives didn't stem from their lack of mental facilities...it's just angry, stupid, fearful racism raising it's ugly head once again..call it what it is...
 
What is interesting is I've read a couple of different articles on this and none of them say what exactly law did she break. Only that she was arrested, cited, and released. They didn't say what they cited her for.

Exactly. This isn't mental illness; it's racism.

And racism/prejudice isn't mental illness, in case anyone wants to go that route. It's an embedded part of our mental heuristics, useful in the small nomadic groups that we used to be, that were just trying to survive. It's something that isn't beneficial in civilization and most people (largely) transcend it these days with a little thought.
