Look what Houston got for Harden...a broken Oladipo, Kurucs, and a handful of picks that probably won't amount to anything.

    So, what would CJ get

I like Beal, but honestly I don't think it makes us that much better. He's short guard who doesn't play defense.

To be fair, they could have had Levert and Jarret Allen, which makes the package a little better.

They chose poorly. Some of the other RUMORED packages were much better IMO.

No. Expiring contracts we can trade. I agree with you, we're never going to sign an in demand All Star free agent.

Yeah they could’ve gotten Ben Simmons but they decided not to for whatever reason. Most likely something having to do with Morey being the Philly gm though

I think Tobias Harris is someone we can realistically get especially if we included RoCo in the package. Siakam is a possibility in a three team deal. Maybe Paul George or Kawhi if they lose to the Mavs and want to join Damian. That’s a big if but something fun to think about lol

I think it's very realistic, if the Raptors are going to trade Siakam in this major rebuild they're doing, that we can trade CJ to the Knicks for picks and prospects which will go to Toronto, we may have to include a future first as well but we could end up with Siakam. If Philly loses in the next round then I could see us getting Harris for CJ straight up. I think the Mavs would probably do CJ and Nurk for Porzingis, Finney-Smith and Burke.

Honestly I think there would be a lot of trades out there for CJ that bring us back real value. I think a three team trade with the Knicks could bring back a lot of different guys from other teams who are looking for young pieces and cap relief. So there actually is a lot out there.

if we are getting a Dallas guard it should be Brunson.

Or did, before they acquired Curry and drafted Maxey. Now that ship has sailed.

Again - we've discussed this trade ad nauseam. And then Daryl took charge and acquired Curry and drafted Maxey WITHOUT giving up Harris. And Harris proved himself invaluable. And why the fuck would we give up RoCo? One step forward, two steps back.

The Nets could always Nets like before and suck so some of those future pics might be good. Pics in '24, '26 might be good, same with swaps in '25, '27. Though you are partial right in that half the pics are total shit for now.

Yeah, he would be my preference too but I doubted they'd give him up in that haul for us.

Siakam has struggled this year, and they have replacements on hand. He's been in a variety of trade rumors. They're definitely listening to offers. I don't think he'd be as expensive as you think.

At this point I would trade CJ for Simons.

The two I thought of were Tobias Harris or Khris Middleton. Cj would be great next to Giannis. They have Holiday, I know. But i still think CJ on their team would be strong.

If you want those guys for CJ, prepare to give up multiple first round picks.

You can get trash like Buddy Heild, Kevin Love or Steven Adams. They would likely all be a better fit here too than CJ.

This is the terrible situation we've found ourselves in. No one wants this guy. We held onto him about 3 or 4 years too long. It would be a miracle if we get equal value back for that contract.
