What you need for a poll question: who will disappoint us tonight? Dame, CJ, or both.

I am so sick of people claiming nothing is wrong with Dame. 20 games in and he has had more bad games than he usually has in an entire season. It's bad when you hope your star player is hurt, because the alternatives are much worse.

Hey what can you do

How terrible would it be to just sit dame for the rest of the year, let him get surgery or whatever to get him back to 100%? I would wager the team would still end up being 40 and 40 in the end. There is ZERO chance to make it out of the first round. To fight tooth and nail to get into the play-in and kill Dame in the process...is it really worth it?

This is a guy who would regularly drop 40, and a 50 point game you don't even blink. Now he can't even muster 30. This ain't right.

It's pretty much what the Warriors did with Steph. They developed and picked up a draft pick.

You guys seem to forget that’s his choice

Any update on Powell and his thigh contusion? He may be okay to go by then since they get a couple of days off.

Sadly, it's a road game so many of the starters will take the day off from an effort standpoint.

Ironically, I have stolen this blurb from a website who has a co-founder who is a big CJ fan.
"Not getting many free throw attempts for how often he has the ball has been a problem for McCollum’s entire career, but even by his low standards this season has been really bad. His free throw attempt rate (Number of free throw attempts per field goal attempt) is a putrid 9.7% and he’s only averaging 1.8 free throw attempts per game. Those marks are by far his lowest since earning the starting shooting guard spot prior to the 2015-16 season. Of players this season that have scored at least 350 points, McCollum is by far last with only 34 free throw attempts. Tyler Herro is 2nd worst in that stat and he has shot 47 free throw attempts. McCollum has to either do something he hasn’t really done before and find a way to get to the line more often, or he has to take less shots and increase his assist percentage instead. When you’re not shooting well in the paint and aren’t drawing fouls either, using your ability to get to certain spots on the floor could be used as a way to get good quality shots for teammates. Maybe Billups can eventually get McCollum to play a little more like that and the team would be much better off for it."

Looking at the standings, the #3 seed is up for grabs. As well as we’ve played at home, the road wins will come, we have as good a chance as anyone. A win over Utah would be a good launching point.

Following the Blazers is like being a Detroit Lions fan. The team can't close out road games.

The Lions can't close out anywhere. They're 0-10.

A better comparison to the Lions is much closer to home. The Pistons are currently 4-15 and have had one winning season in the last thirteen.

I wish the Blazers would start NAS and Nance, and bring CJ and Roco off the bench. I think both CJ and Roco would be more effective coming off the bench, and I think it would improve both "units". Ironically, I think CJ is less effective because he plays with the starters. I don't think the team is maximizing the effectiveness of each player the way the lineups are right now.

Flip side: Egos.

In fact, the team may not be maximizing the effectiveness of ANY of the players (with the exception of Nurk), with the way the lineups are now.

I really think we not as good as we play at home and we not had bad as we played away. But what I thinking we might be closer to away games then we are at home games. It's coming when we start playing just above where we playing away.

Barn Burner tonight! Blazers 8 point dogs in this one but I'm taking Red and Black on this bet.
Spin the Wheel!

CJ already plays with the bench so all your suggesting to do is play him less.

We're not biased. Both of us have complained about CJ on multiple postgame shows, and would trade him in the right package.

Maybe just to let Snell foul like crazy then put in Nas and Nance?

Watch out here. If the Blazers come out shooting the ball well they could very well take this game. I have always liked this matchup.
