- Acquire Jerami Grant.
- Draft -- Sharpe, Walker.
- Re-sign Ant for 4 yrs, 100 mil.
- MLE -- GP2, trigger hard cap.
- Re-sign Nurk for 4 yrs, 70 mil.
- Re-sign Eubanks for the minimum.
- Bledsoe? Waive I'm guessing.

we are not hard capped right now

all things considered, its a strong b for me

Might be a little premature. There might be a surprise still to come

Right now? I want to revisit this after summer league.

C-

I gave the draft a B-

FA is a C-/D+ for me because signing Ant and then GP II doesn’t make sense and it brings us back to what was a problem in a log jammed back court last season.

Nurkic contract isn’t bad. Reasonable for both sides. Hopefully he looks underpaid down the road; he’ll probably need to if we are to compete for a championship.

There is a lot riding on Shaedon Sharpe. He might not know that, but there is.

I give it a c right now because vi don't he done yet. I am looking to if he balance the roster a little better. If he does than I might bring up to a B.

Incomplete / C for me now, another trade to replace some of them guards for another forward and we go to B.

You've heard of "C's get degrees!"

Well in the NBA, "C's get no rings!"

where is the "too fucking early" option?
that's why i put "incomplete" option there, but not sure what else you think we can do outside of maybe signing one of our SL guys to the minimum.

+/- in grading is weak. i never got the benefit of that in college to help my GPA. I got quite a few 89% Bs and 79% Cs.

because 85% is neither 80% or 90%

but really the pole forces a 100% choice then drops to 80% choice.
Lots of wiggle room for opinions to land in that 20%, no?

Is the team markdly different from last year? Not imho. two small no defending guards running the show. The odds Sharpe will see meaningful minutes aint good. I would love it if he could be in the second rotation but he hasnt ever played against grown men yet.

You are saying we can't do any trades?

we've been talking about the hard cap and numbers ad nauseum today. we don't have much flexibility to make any moves of significance. that GP2 deal is unfortunately going to hamper us in the short term.

You are saying we can't do any trades?

We could.... but they would be difficult. We couldn't take back more money than we send out.... like.... not even a little bit.

And we can't send out more players than we get back because we wouldn't be able to sign new ones.

I voted Incomplete. As is, this is a C. See the potential for a B.
i'm hopeful for moves as well, but there are literally no trades we can make that can markedly improve us.

if we move multiple players in a consolidation trade, we'd have to account for their empty roster spots that moves right against the hard cap.

I wish I could separate it between draft and everything else.

Draft: A.
Everything else: D or F.

You forgot extending Lillard. I understand that wasn't really in question but it will happen.

Everyone acts like Cronin is a big difference from Neil because of the CJ trade. Really?

Neil didn't value draft picks/Cronin spends our best pick in ages on a non-contributor.
Neil over-paid for our own FAs/Cronin pays top value for Simons(unproven) and Nurk (broken down)
Neil loaded the roster with low impact vets in a bogus win-now movement/Cronin ditto

The more things change, the more they stay the same...
