You are saying we can't do any trades?

we've been talking about the hard cap and numbers ad nauseum today. we don't have much flexibility to make any moves of significance. that GP2 deal is unfortunately going to hamper us in the short term.

We could.... but they would be difficult. We couldn't take back more money than we send out.... like.... not even a little bit.

And we can't send out more players than we get back because we wouldn't be able to sign new ones.

I voted Incomplete. As is, this is a C. See the potential for a B.

i'm hopeful for moves as well, but there are literally no trades we can make that can markedly improve us.

if we move multiple players in a consolidation trade, we'd have to account for their empty roster spots that moves right against the hard cap.

I wish I could separate it between draft and everything else.

    Draft: A.
    Everything else: D or F.

You forgot extending Lillard. I understand that wasn't really in question but it will happen.

Everyone acts like Cronin is a big difference from Neil because of the CJ trade. Really?

Neil didn't value draft picks/Cronin spends our best pick in ages on a non-contributor.
Neil over-paid for our own FAs/Cronin pays top value for Simons(unproven) and Nurk (broken down)
Neil loaded the roster with low impact vets in a bogus win-now movement/Cronin ditto

The more things change, the more they stay the same...

Sharpe is mainly the reason — his upside is that of a mega star.

What's left to do? We planning on doing some salary dumps to free up space?

Why in the name of Baphomet's bi-curious bi-focals are you riding Cronin's jock so hard?

    B.

Keeping Lillard Happy. My focus for me that he's in Portland his whole career.

Sharpe seems like a good pick for us. Franchise potential. No rush, but if he can contribute off the bench, all the better.
Ant will continue to develop. Good to lock him up.
Increased the Defense with GP2 and Grant.

Still have some assets we can trade out for a starter at the 3.

We’re a small market team and even our star cannot recruit a big name to come. Dame convinced Grant but I’m uncertain if he’ll move the needle much.

mall things considered we drafted well, we picked up two decent players in Grant and Payton and we re-signed Ant and Nurk. I don’t think I was planning for much more, so I give it a B.

we need a power forward vet (younger than Aldridge) and I’d like to see an addition this Summer

I think you forgot EBEC because those salaries don't come close to matching.

Obviously incomplete for all answers but the grade as of now is a B. I like Sharpe. I like GP2.

For where it is so far, C. If Cronin has more homework to turn in, I'll be happy to look at it and change the grade.
