OT Mass shooting at Highland Park, IL 4th of July parade

Early reports, all unconfirmed.

25+ shot.

Shooter was on a rooftop and fired down into the crowd watching the parade.

Shooter is now barricaded in a grocery store with hostages.

Again, all of this is unconfirmed.
 
Witness says shooter not on rooftop. On ground.

The kid's legs and shoes have blood on them.

 
Did they get the shooter?
 
Suspect:

Male, white, 18-20 years old.
 
Shelter in place issued for Highland Park. Swat teams going door to door. Police, FBI, other forces all in town looking for the shooter. The Shooter has not been indentified.
 
Waiting for people to defend the shooter.
 
This also happened in Chicago this weekend, separate from this. However, this is pretty typical.

 
You can't go anywhere anymore without the thought there could be a shooter in the waiting. There is no peace. It could happy anywhere, anytime.

Probably a good thing as you would probably attract people to vandalize your property if you did, especially in Portland.

This is why I am considering getting a gun and a CCW. You can't trust people or the police to protect you anymore.
