This also happened in Chicago this weekend, separate from this. However, this is pretty typical.

You can't go anywhere anymore without the thought there could be a shooter in the waiting. There is no peace. It could happy anywhere, anytime.

Probably a good thing as you would probably attract people to vandalize your property if you did, especially in Portland.

This is why I am considering getting a gun and a CCW. You can't trust people or the police to protect you anymore.

You can also get run over at a parade, like over Christmas.

People are fucked up and evil. First thing everyone needs to realize.

Assume the worst in people. Don't trust anyone

Yes, but Santa and his reindeer aren't suppose to run over you on Christmas. It's a holiday, damnit! :elf:

Who in this forum has ever defended a mass shooter?

Sure people will continue to blame guns for this, but when are we going to address the massive spike in mental illness we've seen in this country over the past few decades? America's always had guns, but what's with all these angry and unstable people running around shooting up their communities lately? Seems like a conversation a lot of people don't want to have.

Lots of people want to have this discussion.

What do you want to discuss about it?

    Universal healthcare?

Sanity test before buying a gun?

I highly doubt this is happening because of a lack of "free" healthcare. Again, we've always had a plethora of guns in this country and yet this phenomena is relatively new. There's something clearly toxic that's polluting the minds of our young people.
