I get the TV Broadcast part of it. They did it that way during the Pandemic. But i think Travis Demers needs to be live in the opposing arena, so he can bring the feel of the crowd into the broadcast. That just doesn't make any sense at all.

To be fair I'm not sure Demers can really convey the 'feel of the crowd' even when in the arena. All in all this is just bad news and another cheap cost cutting measure. Please for the love of God, Jody Allen needs to sell this franchise and get the Vulcans as far away as possible!

Hey Kroenke owns the Nuggets, built 5Billion + So FI, and still nickels and dimes Nuggets & Avalanche fans over the cable deal money. They had to find outside sources to watch their games last year.

Im sure Travis probably likes not having to travel to road games. More time at home w/family. Probably has to take a pay cut however?

Why? He still will being doing ALL the games. He just won't get a hotel room & per diem for travel.

Does it affect your earnings either way Travis? I know it affects how you can call a game but other than room and board and transportation does it cut into your earnings or just save the team money from an overhead perspective. I'm sorry to hear about this development for you guys either way.

Possibly wont, but many jobs that require substantial travel the compensation package reflects the job description. Since he's not calling on customers and such?
 
I wonder if this is going to become common place among sports teams.
