Now THIS is EXACTLY the kind of shit the House of Representatives (regardless of who is in power) should be investigating and dealing with instead of trying to constantly shiv their own citizens. There is no reason on earth (including oil) that this shit bag shouldn't be investigated, condemned and sanctioned. But Hunter is a far, far greater danger.........

Putting 'Profits Over People', Senate Rejects Paid Sick Leave for Rail Workers "Senate Republicans and Joe Manchin have yet AGAIN failed working Americans by voting down seven days of paid sick leave for rail workers," lamented Rep. Jamaal Bowman. https://www.commondreams.org/news/2...e-senate-rejects-paid-sick-leave-rail-workers Congress just sided with Warren Buffett over American workers. Fuck them.
I'm a once-upon-a-time Teamster and generally a very pro-union guy. That said, as I understand it this isn't really 'forcing the union to accept the railroad's terms'. The government already brokered a settlement a couple of months ago between the railroads and the unions, and 8 of the 12 unions voted in favor of it. That doesn't mean it's a fair deal - quite possibly the unions deserve better - but it apparently isn't a completely one-sided deal. barfo
53 senators voted in favor of paid sick leave. As usual Moscow Mitch blocked it. The Senate is by itself undemocratic (California has a bigger population than 21 combined states) and Mitch makes it even more so. A majority isn't enough to pass anything because he will block it.
