I find it interesting who fans favorite all time Blazers are. I'm asking for just your favorite 5 ( just 5). They don't have to be the best 5 players in the history of the team, but more who you've loved the most. My Blazer fandom started in spring of '77. I was late to the game of Pro Hoops. And then end the list with your age. My list: Dame, B Roy, Clyde, Billy Ray Bates, and Ron Brewer. Age: 59

Petrie, Walton, Luke, Clyde & Dame - 72
Very cool. I was 6 when the Blazers started, and didn't get into sports until i was 9 with football, and then baseball. Petrie and Wicks were badass players. Would have been a pleasure to see them both. I've seen highlights, but it's not the same.

Guys like Leroy Ellis and Jim Barnett were a kick.

Started watching in 1989:

Rasheed
Isaiah Rider
Bonzi Wells
Terry Porter
Dame

HM: Clyde, Kersey, Ruben Patterson, Roy

Billy Ray Bates - came out of nowhere! Met him when I was a young 'pup' and he was so nice.
Clyde - got to see a few games with him and Hakeem, Benny Anders, Larry Micheaux with Houston. Incredibly fun to watch. When Portland drafted Drexler, I was ecstatic! Was beside myself when we had the chance to get Olajuwon the next year. So bummed when we didn't.
Abdul Jeelani - got to meet him and thought he had a really cool name. (I was young...lol)
Sabas - had heard tales and seen grainy B/W video of him and then a little Olympic coverage. Was in awe of the ability and fascinated by the 'mystery' of who he was as a player. A real shame we didn't get to see him at his peak, but still so entertaining to watch.
Dame - was a big Roy fan, but soured a bit on how he distanced himself from the team when they had given him a max contract knowing his knees were bad. Dame has put up big numbers for a long time.

HM: - got to know Jerome after his career. Was so sad what happened to him. Same with Duck who I got to know through a mutual friend. Lastly, Kermit. I know things haven't gone well for him of late, but during the time when I saw him fairly frequently, he was nothing but kind and very engaging.

Started watching in the mid 80s.

Dame, Clyde, Sheed, Cliff and Mercy Mercy Jerome Kersey!!!

HM: BRoy for that short sweet period of time and Rider when he was on.

Great off-season thread!

Lucas, Walton, Gross, Hollins, Twardzik/Davis. They delivered the goods. Also rans;

Sabas
Kiki
Clyde
Porter
Kersey
Buck
Duck
Roy
Dame

Maurice Lucas, Jerome Kersey, Greg Anthony, Wes Matthews...and of course Dame.

Sabonis, Brian Grant, Pippen, Roy, Lillard - I am 38 and started watching in the early 90s. I have vague memories of watching the '92 finals with the Blazers vs. Jordan's Bulls.
