“A lot of people are doubting us because we’re young,” Henderson said. “We’re the underdogs in most cases, but we’ve got some real dogs.”
To be fair, all underdogs are by definition dogs.

Some underdogs turn into dark horses.
Dogs turn into horses?!

Scoot and Shaedon looked almost exactly the same height when standing next to each other in the promo pic. I don't know if it was edited to make them look the same height....

Scoot is wider, that's for sure. Maybe it takes seeing him in person to see the fairly big difference.
Sharpe looks like the typical slim basketball player with a bit thicker legs.
Scoot looks like Dick Butkus RIP.

Sharpe measured 6' 5.25' with shoes at the combine and Cronin said Scoot measured 6' 3.5" (I assume with shoes?)
If that's the case, the 3-inch difference as shown on the training camp roster is misleading.
With Sharpe listed as 6'6" and Scoot as 6'3". One is rounded up and other other down.
The actual difference it seem is less than 2 inches. How much less I suppose we can guess when we see them side by side.

I'm unfortunately paywalled. Any quotes you can share?
Blazers President Dewayne Hankins recalled Allen putting an end to the mounting questions during a Zoom call in early September: “We really need to move on. We’ve got great young talent. We’re not like other rebuilding teams who don’t have a strong core of young players. It’s time to turn the page.”

Those marching orders led the Blazers to ditch Plan B and remove Lillard entirely from their promotional materials in favor of Henderson, guard Anfernee Simons and other members of their young core. Inside the organization, the transition had begun. Meanwhile, the fan base was coming to terms with Lillard’s probable exit, and season ticket holders renewed at a 93 percent rate, up six percentage points from the previous season.

“A lot of people are doubting us because we’re young,” Henderson said. “We’re the underdogs in most cases, but we’ve got some real dogs.”

I read the whole thing and am not seeing that quote unless its this quote:

"
Turning the page
Nearly a month before the Lillard trade was consummated, Blazers owner Jody Allen delivered a course-setting message to the organization’s lead business executives.
"

I don't see anything that indicates that Jody herself said to not let Dame come back (only to wait until the deadline and be traded to the Heat, not sure why so many miss that part of the Haynes piece). What am I missing here?
