They win this game before a six day break. You couldn’t possibly draw it up any better.
 
Maybe give Domingue one more start and let Igor and Quick rest another week.
 
Looks like Quick back starting tonight, Domingue backing him up. Based on comments I'd expect Igor back in goal for the next game at NJ on Saturday night.

No letdown tonight, go beat a below average team in your own building, then take a week off to rest up for a big division game.
 
Oilers fired their coach and hired knoblach as the new coach. He’s put in his dues and I wish him luck!
 
Me too, happy for him. The Oilers are a very flawed team, but anytime you have the best player in the world, and another top 5 player, it's a good start.
 
I can see it now. Knoblauch the next great NHL coach. I wanted the Tampa coach a couple years before the Lightning gave him the gig.
 
I would expect him to do well as there is nowhere to go but up for the Oilers right now. They won't win a SC with that goaltending and D, but they are much better than their awful start, so the team should improve.

Just another example of why the NHL continues to be a joke. Because they have cocksuckers running the sport that hate NY and the big markets that live to fuck them over. I've literally seen them make up shit to support small markets. It was embarrassing years ago. Starting with the bullshit to fix the lottery for the pussy Penguins whose lame ass fans wouldn't support the team so they were bankrupt.
 
I don't even get worked up on reviews anymore. You know it will go against the Rangers, and you move on. It is an embarrassment for the refs they took 6 minutes to say the puck was frozen, if that was the case why take 6 minutes to review it, but at days end no surprise at all it was ruled no goal. I'd don't even give it a second thought, especially when they take a long time.

I am the last person who believes in conspiracy theories, but I agree with this 100%. The Rangers never win a review. The system in the NHL is a joke and favors the small % of cheap owners who don't want to spend money. The sport is broken financially, and once again why it is by far the 4th sport in America. Sad because it is a great game. And Bettman hangs in because he pounds the players into submission, and makes money for the % of cheap owners.

Most of the team has stunk in this game except for a few players. Chytil can't come back soon enough so I don't have to see Bonino centering the third line.
 
Well, need to make them pay with the 5-3.
