Nah. I think he's resting him. I think he's figuring the dumbass Canes with moron Brind'Amour will do what they always do. Play the regular season like the post season and have little left come playoff time. This is Cuylle's first full season. Resting players at this point is smart. Too bad Lindgren and Trouba are hurt. Fox could use some rest also. Maybe Zibanejad a day off or Kreider.
 
I'm sure as the regular season slowly lurches towards it's conclusion he's going to sit some guys.
 
Apparently Winnipeg thought they won the Stanley Cup when they played the Rangers.
 
This stretch of defensive i9njuries has given Jones an opportunity and he's taken advantage to vastly improve his game, he could easily be a top 4 on a shitty defensive team like the Habs. The only relevant thing I see with tonight's game is they're looking to avoid being swept by the gritty Panthers but there's a new sheriff in town for the Blueshirts.
 
I had no idea Paul Maurice had that many regular season wins...wow.
 
How in the FUCK was that not a penalty on Okposo for that late hit that was also high? Wtf. I hope Rempe breaks Tkachuk’s jaw.
 
Kakko is such big kid who plays like a pussy 95% of the time. You would think he would learn by now to take the puck to the net and not to stand in a fucking corner and play with himself.
 
Agree on kakko but the biggest pussy on this time is miller who as usual is being pushed all over the ice with no response and Florida is even taking runs at him. Kid just has no balls
 
Lol, Mel your hate for Miller is astounding. The kid has been one of the best d-men with Trouba and Lindgren out.
 
Kakko is done here after this season. Whether he just needs a fresh start or just was overrated, he’s done here. As for Miller, he is what he is. A forward that plays defense. He’s useless with his body, he has good puck skills, but he lacks the attitude to use his size properly.

He gets bullied around A LOT by guys that are smaller than him. That’s not what you want out of a defenseman. He shies away from contact too often. He doesn’t need to be Trouba out there, but he can’t be Mark Staal either. Somewhere in between would be nice.

There are 82 games plus the playoffs. He does shy away from contact from times to times which he makes up with his reach. He is not a physical d-men. They already have Lindgren who can't stay on the ice without being injured. Trouba does not shy away from contact and smaller guys still abuse him constantly defensively.

I’ve said this before, but does ANY team get thrown out of the faceoff circle as much as we do? Seriously. It’s one of the reasons we suck on faceoffs because these linesmen are super eager to throw us out.

Did you also just see him have a chance to hit someone in the neutral zone but get scared to make the hit and it led to Florida getting a chance? Like I said, I don’t want him throwing his body around recklessly, but when the chance is there to lay a good clean hit he needs to take it more often than he does.
 
Unfortunately, another goal Shesterkin cannot allow late against Florida.
