    It’s actually simply a poor redneck subsidy. No wealthy, coastal elite needs $5,000 for a child and if they did they wouldn’t be having a child. This is a wealth transfer through and through, taking money from responsible tax paying citizens and moving the money to poor, uneducated Trump territories where birth control is hard to come by and abortions will get you imprisoned.

    $5000 hardly covers costs of pregnancy and birth, let alone raising a child. Especially when social services are eliminated.
