I dont think Kidd will get traded...if they work out a deal to get Abdur-Rahim for Kittles/Williams, they'll still be ok...Collins/Abdur-Rahim/Jefferson/whoever/Kidd...then sign a quality guard and go from there...but I really dont like the attitude and direction of this new ownership, i'd be worried if i was a Nets fan...

If Jason Kidd feels the Nets arent about wins or championships, then I doubt he would want to be traded to a team like Golden State. And Rob Thorn has to good of a relationship to just trade kidd anywhere he doesnt want to go. And kidd going to want to go to a winner, which means the teams the Nets could trade kidd to is very limited. Dallas would probably be the only team Kidd would give an ok too.And the Nets would still get some good young parts & cap space in return for kidd. Because they got young guys like Devin Harris & Josh Howard. And guys like Christian Laetineer & Tony Delk who's contracts are ending and would give us good cap space to add on to what we expect next year. But would Cuban be willing to do this, I doubt it. But with Shaq gone & the West wide open, a lineup of Kidd/Finley/Stackhouse/Dirk/ and a center/ And Marquis Daniels,etc off the bench would give a good run at a championship. They would probably move Walker to either Golden State to get Dampier or to the Knicks to get Kurt Thomas to play center.

Dallas seems like the most likely place to benefit kidd and the future of the Nets.

Well it fills posistions of need. They aren't going to get a Marbury-Kidd deal again. All the other possible teams dont want to give up their point to get a player his age with that contract. I like Henacy's theory with Dallas. Where else you think he might get traded, if he does ask for one? Denver for Dre? Lots have change since the straight up nets-suns trade.

Kidd could go to Houston for Juwan Howard, Taylor and Gaines.

Kidd 14.7 M = Howard 5.4M + Maurice Taylor 8.5M + Reece Gaines 1.2M.

Kidd could go the Lakers for Gary Payton and Lamar Odom.

Kidd 14.7M = Odom 10.5M + Payton 5.4M

Kidd could go to Miami for Wade and Eddie Jones.

Kidd 14.7M = Jones 13.4M + Wade 2.8M

Kidd could go to Minnesota for Cassel and Szerbiak.

Mo taylor is decent but not worth the 8 mill he is getting paid per year
And J. Howard contract has 4 years left on it but I dont see him having an impact on the team long term,the guy is a career loser.I would like to get young players(but not draft picks) in return for kidd if we were to trade him.

Lamar Odom would def be a nice player in return for kidd imo but the thing about Odom is that he is really a SF which RJ is. We could move RJ to the 2 guard spot because the wing positions(SF & SG) nowadays are pretty interchangable. But I think RJ would need to improve his jumpshot more. Odom can play the 4 on some teams but not on the Nets because we are weak defensively at the 5. And you cant go to war weak defensivly at both the 4 & 5 positions. And it seems like the Nets need one more player because you cant expect much out of payton anymore(even tho he is alot better then he played last year in LA)

Also I dont see why LA would do this deal, Odom is going to be the perfect compliment to kobe for the next 6 or 7 years at least. They have dreams of Kobe being a Jordan type well Odom is already a bootleg type Scottie Pippen type player(minus Scottie's Defense). While Kobe doing or the shooting,Odom is going to be the guy making the plays for everybody else keeping them involved.I dont like LA but I admit for the future they are going to compliment each other very well.

I would take Eddie Jones Horrible contract for the next 2 years just to get Wade because Wade + RJ and hopefully we get a bigbody with one of the picks we got for K-Mart,would run the Eastern conference in the future. But realistically I dont ever see this happening... Dwyane Wade despite being young is probably a better fit next to shaq then kidd is imo. Shaq needs to play a half-court style and kidd needs to play an open court style. Shaq doesnt get up & down the court like he use to so I dont see him running with Kidd. And Eddie Jones is most likely going to have top be the heats 2nd best perimeter scorer after Wade next year. So if you trade them both who is left to score on that team besides Shaq.

Wally is an overpaid, one-dimensional shooter. I do think have a great pure shooter alongside Rj would make him flourlish even more and become a better playmaker when he uses his excellent penetration skills off the dribble not a shooter that cost 9million.

And I love Sam to death, but if we are going to re-build without kidd & Martin we need to get younger.

And the point Cassell is in his career, he wouldnt want to take this stepback to join the Nets in the situation, they are in right now. And having a player that doesnt want to play for your team can create a problem like Van Exel last year in Golden State or Payton in La.

thats a revision on my trade for vince and except u substitute pietrus for c.robb

lets make it interesting, superstar for superstar.

vince for j.kidd. this trade doesn't make that much sense for the nets cause u have jefferson, kittles and harris at the 2 and 3 but u do have new ownership and a potential move to brooklyn in the imminent future. vince is just 27 and he's the perfect marketable star ownership might desire for such a move.

We will have to see. that vince for kidd wouldnt make any sense. I like that golden state trade though

Most likely it won't happen, but I don't think he becomes a bandwagoner if he changes his fav team to Nuggets because his fav player is Kidd, wherever kidd goes, that becomes his fav team. He's a Kidd Fan, not a bandwagonner..

I hope Kidd does go somewhere else, the Nets made a HUGE mistake trading Martin for 3 picks, Kidd should be traded for the Nets..don't know for who cuz of his knee and liability. All i know is keep him in the east, don't need to give the west more stars, on second thought send him to the west, better chance for Bulls to make playoffs...

If the Nets trade Kidd it would be atleast be to a contender. Rod wouldnt screw him over. Atleast that's what I think.

VC, can play guard, but that does not matter cause the Nets do not need VC. VC is a buuum, he does not play hard etc. I don't grasp why he is so popular...can someone explain?

If you want to see a high flying player, then watch the guy who lost the dunk competition last year (the guy who threw ball off backboard + threw legs), but should have won it. Every time I watch VC play I see the following: Three point attempt, brick, Three point attempt, brick, turnover, turnover, three point attempt, brick.

Although it would be an interesting scenario if Nets trade for him...
